The original has been long out of print and the reproduction includes the original text and plates, incorporates a large number of recently-taken photographs of George Smith specimens in the Australian Museum collection and provides a short biography of his life taken from an address given by his grandson Howard Smith to the Mineralogical Annual Seminar then being held in Sydney in 1991. **** FORTHCOMING EVENTS The Illawarra Lapidary Club Rock and Mineral Fair Sunday 8.30 am to 2.00 pm on the 24th February 2013.
