Please read this manual carefully before any operation. 1, Principle and Application 1) Principle The Intense Pulsed Light is a technology aimed at producing light of a high intensity in a short period of time. The light emitted during the flash is absorbed by the melanin contained in the hair follicle, which is then converted in thermal energy. The heat produced will then destroy the hair by cauterizing the vessels connected to the base of the hair: the hair falls out and never grows again. As far as hair removal is concerned, the most important part of the hair is its pigment, the melanin, which gives the hair its color. There are as many pigments as there are individuals. Every pigment type requires a certain wavelength of light. Contrary to the laser which produces a monochromatic light (single wavelength), the flash lamp produces a multitude of wavelengths. This allows many different hair pigments to be targeted by one pulse of light. When the selected magnetic pulse light of a specific wavelength acts on the skin, the hairs (dermal papilla) in a growth phase within hair follicles that are rich in sebaceous glands can split after absorbing the energy, so that the follicle cells grow old naturally, then the hairs are lost and the pigment 2 / 10
granules in the hair follicle are subsequently engulfed by macrophages and excluded by human metabolism. Main principle of 3 main functions, 1 Pigment removal: As the pigment content of pathological pigment tissue is higher than normal skin tissues, it has a strong absorption of the IPL, then creates extreme heat instantly which causes these pathological tissues exploding and decomposing to tiny kernels, one part of these kernels will fall off with the metabolism of epidermis, and the other parts will be phagocytized by macrophage and expel out with human lymphatic system. 2 Vascular removal:hemoglobin will selectively absorb the light of 585-600nm wavelength, by which when the heat of light raise the temperature to 60-65, the blood will coagulate and block the capillary vessels. Then the pathological capillary will be dead because of deficiency of oxygen, and finally metabolize the red blood streaks. 3 Hair removal: when IPL irradiates the skin, light with particular wavelength are selectively absorbed by melanin of hair follicles, by which the hair follicles are heated, when the temperature of follicles reaches high enough their structures will be damaged irreversibly, then finally achieving the effect of removing the unwanted hair. 3 / 10

1) Installation Put the main frame on an easy operating platform or other stable place, then install according to the following steps: 1 Put the handpiece hanger on the neck of the left side of the main frame 2 Put the handpiece on the hanger 3 Connect the handpiece to the corresponding jacks of the backboard (xenon lamp wire, signal wire, water pipe) 4 Connect the power cord to the corresponding jack on the backboard 5 Insert the key switch 6 Pull out the water spillway plug 7 Pull out the plug of the affusion hole and insert the water funnel 8 Affuse water, till water spilling out of the spillway hole 9 Plug the spillway hole 2) Adjustment 1 Connect the power supply to start adjusting, after checking with no error for water circulation and electricity. 2 Turn on the main switch of backboard. 3 Turn up the emergency stop switch by turning red button in the direction of the arrow 4 Turn on the key switch 5 Check whether there is leaking of water on the connection from the handpiece to backboard 5 / 10
6 Fix the connection box by insert it into the backboard and turning it right after check with no error. 3) Operation (1) Choose program 1 Turn on the main switch, the welcome interface appears, press "Enter" to enter the treatment program interface (picture 1).Picture 1 2 Program choose interface (picture 2) Picture 2 Press "menu" to choose "Hair" (hair removal), "Skin"(skin rejuvenation), treatment mode, then press "Enter" to enter into the treatment interface, the system will chose the corresponding program. (2) Operation Interface 1 Entering the operation interface Press "Enter" to enter the treatment program interface after choosing a 6 / 10
treatment program, the technical parameter is adjustable in this interface, press "Enter" again to save the adjustment and exit (picture 3). Picture 3 2 Operation interface Current Program: Displays the chosen program, including "hair removal", "skin rejuvenation", "pigment", "vascular"; PreignitionStatus: when the xenon lamp preignites, the two polar is connected, while in standby status, the two polar is disconnected; Current Parameters: displays the chosen modes, there four different selective modes, with 4 different pulse width (increasing in orders ) Current Simmering times: displays the added simmering in this operation; Added Simmering times: displays the countdown simmering times; Refrigeration Temperature: displays therefrigeration temperature of the corresponding program; Energy Value: displays the current output energy by the xenon lamp Energy Display: displays the current energy scope by progress bar; Parameter Wave: displays the pulse wave of the current parameters. 7 / 10
3 Treatment parameter energy Treatment parameter is adjustable data in the treatment process, the output energy of xenon lamp and pulse width is adjustable through parameter adjusting, in order to get different treatment effect. Energy adjusting: press "menu", the "...J/cm2" block will be lightened up, then press " " or" " to increase or decrease energy (picture 4). Operation mode adjusting: press "menu", the "Mode..." will be lightened up, then press " " or " " to choose different pulse width mode (picture 5). Picture 5 4 Preignitionstatus (working status) After adjust the suitable energy and parameters, press "simmer", the xenon lamp preignites, the two 8 / 10
polars is connected in the screen, and the xenon lamp of handpiece is lighted up(picture 6). Picture 6 5 Radiating After preignition, put the handpiece rightly in the treatment area, press the blue switch button on the handpiece, after the "di...di" sound from the equipment, strong light will be radiated; hold to press the switch button, the xenon lamp will radiate strong lights continuously in every 5 seconds. The simmering counting number of this operation and countdown number changes automatically for each simmering. 6 Operation ending Press "simmer", the xenon lamp will distinguish, then press "enter" to exit to treatment program menu. Chose other treatment program, or turn off the key switch and turn off the main switch if the whole operation ends. 4 Dismantlement In case of repacking the equipment back into the packing case, please follow the following steps: 1. Put a basin or other container under the equipment 2. Pull out the water plug of the outlet hole, drain out all the water 3. Disconnect the handpiece, drain the water of the water pipe, clean the hand piece with soft cloth 4. Put the handpiece in the corresponding place on the foam 9 / 10
5. Pull out the power cord, key switch and other accessories and put into the foam box 6.
