PRESS KIT LA VENESSIANA ATELIER November 2018
ABOUT While 42.6 per cent of blog visitors are based in English-speaking countries, 39 per cent come from Italy. 29.8 per cent of total visitors to the blog are based in the Venice / Veneto region. Our blog language is English because we want to reach as many readers, interested in Venice, as possible. La Venessiana was founded in 2015 as lifestyle, garden and slow food blog. From October 2018, we offer online courses and ebooks covering responsible travel and heritage-related topics more in detail. Our email magazine Postcard from Venice is sent to subscribers on a monthly basis. In addition, subscribers receive access to an online library and content upgrades on the blog. lavenessiana.com
La Venessiana Atelier As Social Business 30 per cent of proceeds from the online courses, dedicated to Venetian heritage and culinary topics, go to various social initiatives in Venice, and are donated for Christmas. We support associations that make life in Venice better, such as Dingo (homeless cats), Caffé Sospeso, Onlus, Una Stella Per Natale, and LIPU. At the same time, we aim to turn tourists into visitors and friends, by providing high-quality and in-depth information on Venice not available in guide books.
Venice Heritage Course Heritage consists of visible and invisible, immaterial and immaterial components. While we are familiar with components such as art, architecture, history and tradition, we made a survey on Venetian immaterial heritage, and found the percentages (estimations by 174Venetians) extremely low in areas such as culinary culture, language, medicine, organic and self-sufficient lifestyle, gardening, business, diplomacy and banking, Venice as innovator and nation of seafarers and explorers. For this reason, we aim to contribute sharing the immaterial heritage of Venice, by means of online courses and retreats, in a second step.
