We are eager to help you achieve your goal of healthy hair. We want to remove the guess work from your hair care regimen to save you time and money. We will provide you with information about your hair to help you improve its current condition and healthy hair practices based on the needs of your hair. Your hair analysis results and recommendations are personal to your hair needs and may not be beneficial to others. If you are in need of product recommendations please know that we are only familiar with a few product lines outside of our own. With this being said we will only recommend products that we are familiar with. Step 1: Please complete your online questionnaire. Please complete your online questionnaire by first logging into your www.khcsolutions.com account. Go to My Account and click on Questionnaire in your side menu bar. This should be completed before your phone consultation with us. Do not fill out the questionnaire provided in this package if you have already completed it online.
Step 2: Send most recent clean hair shed. We ask that you send us your most recent clean hair shed. Clean hair shed is very crucial to your results as we are not able to clearly see the hair cuticle if hair shaft is not clean. If you have hair shed from after you shampoo and before you apply your conditioner we would prefer that as your hair sample, if not, the hair shed after you condition is acceptable as well. Please do not cut or pull hair for your sample. Cutting or pulling your hair for your hair sample will give false results as well. If you feel that you have not collected sufficient hair shed we ask that you save/collect your hair shed from two wash cycles. Your hair sample should be clean and dry before mailing. Your hair sample should be clean and dry before mailing. We ask that you put your hair sample in a ziplock bag. This will allow us to separate the hair with minimum breakage. If you are concerned about a particular area of hair we ask that you put it in a separate ziplock bag and label it. Do not write on the ziplock bag as the ink sometimes smears and we are unable to read it. We suggest taping the label to the bag or simply putting the label inside the Ziplock bag. Please do not separate more than 3 areas of concern. After you have put your clean and dry hair shed in properly labeled Ziplock bag(s) along with your client information form in an envelope please mail it to: Komaza Care 2121 Natomas Crossing Ste 200-354 Sacramento, CA 95834. Please be sure to fill out and mail the Client Information Form along with your hair shed sample so that we can identify your hair shed sample. If you cannot print the Client Information Form please write the information that we are asking for on a separate sheet of paper to be mailed with your hair shed sample. Note: You only need an envelope and one stamp to send your sample.
Step 3: Once we receive your hair sample. Once we receive your hair sample we will send you an email confirming receipt. Hair Care Tips 1. Shampoo scalp at least once a week. It is very important to keep a clean scalp. Keeping a clean scalp will increase hair growth and longevity. If you only co-wash (use conditioner instead of shampoo) you are likely to have build-up on your scalp which can inhibit the growth of your hair, cause an itchy scalp and create a breeding ground for bacteria and yeast. 2. To assist product with deeper penetration into the hair shaft and to encourage curl pattern: put product into palm of your hands, rub hands together to help with product emulsification. Start in sections from scalp to ends, use fingers as a comb (keep fingers close together) and let hair glide through fingers. Do this until product is no longer visible. Apply more product until desired feel and/or look. If hair is wet once you have achieved desired look let it dry before more manipulation. This will eliminate frizzing. 3. Stay hydrated. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water a day or more if you workout, in hot weather or have a physical job. 4. Do not use a boar bristle brush even if it is soft, this type of brush damages the cuticles which causes breakage and the dryness. 5. When heat styling your hair use a devise where the heat can be controlled. We recommend using heat under 400 degrees to not interfere with curl pattern. Be sure hair is thoroughly dry before applying heat and always apply a heat protectant prior. 6. If your hair is relaxed, color treated, or flat ironed daily/weekly you should trim your hair every 6-8 weeks. For no heat/ low manipulation styles hair should be trimmed every 4-6 months. 7. For a healthy scalp try applying organic virgin coconut oil to scalp for 30 minutes prior to shampooing hair.
8. Using an apple cider vinegar rinse will help remove mineral build-up from the use of hard water, assist with proper ph balance and close hair cuticles to improve softness, strength and shine. This should NOT be done every shampoo. Use ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar to 1 cup of water. Put mixture into a spray bottle or pour over clean hair and let it stand for 5 minutes before rinsing. Try using this rinse 1-2 times a month. You may add essential oils such as: sage, peppermint, rosemary, lavender, and sweet orange to further aid with healthy hair and scalp. 9. Having a well balanced diet is important for healthy hair growth. Sugar increases inflammation in the body which has been linked to certain types of hair loss. It also has the ability to harden collagen which is an important protein for skin and hair. Eat more whole grains, hormone free dairy, eggs, poultry and a variety of fruits and vegetables. 10. Exercise at least 30 min 3 days a week. This will increase blood flow to the follicles which increases the rate of hair growth.
