FOREVER LIPS Color Iden fica on Chart (CIC) For Lip Area Only: These pigment shades contain colorants that are not to be used near the eye or eyebrow area. These colors are not to be used for any other Permanent Cosme c Procedures. The Forever Lips are to be used only by the Experienced Ar st. The Forever Lips is a lip series designed to achieve a brighter, truer to color, healed version of favorite shades made to accommodate the outcome desires of the client. We have used selec ve organic colorants as a base, greatly increased the density value, and provided a user friendly creamy texture that maintains a consistent, long las ng formula during use. The Forever Lips offers many op ons: Use a Forever Lips pigment color to maximize your favorite lip shades. Best used for the client who voices concern about the color healing too light and they are not looking for a natural lip appearance but prefers a vibrant, long las ng lip color. Take your favorite lip color that is best suited for the client s undertone; make a first pass with that lip shade. Follow up with a companion color from the Forever Lips series on top of the lip color already implanted. This will maximize the 1 st color that you have already pigmented. Just knowing you are offering a pigment color that is true to shade, true to its vibrancy and true to its las ng abili es will provide complete client sa sfac on for the color intensity client. The ma er of whether that color should be adjusted to appear even more vibrant can be determined at the follow up appointment. When used as a maximizer, Forever Lips offers the opportunity to use a color at the first appointment that ul mately may heal just right, no touch up. If a lighter version is desired at the follow up appointment, to decrease the density (lightening of the color) another lighter shade of the Forever Lips pigment can be used, or to increase the color significantly, a deeper, darker shade of the Forever Lips may be used. Forever Lips can be used as an addi ve agent to another companion Forever Lips color to adjust the standard color to a less dense formula on without the loss of the long las ng formula on abili es. Follow up with this mixture over your already implanted lip color to maximize your lip results. The Forever Lips are produced from organics which are vibrant, brighter, longer las ng pigments and made as a highly concentrated formula on. These specific Forever Lips colors are allowed in the EU as safe for ta ooing, provided that the specific pigment/s have passed the EU Resolu on ResAP (2008)1. All Mei Cha Colorants are tested according to these resolu ons providing a high level of safety and a minimum health risk for our customers. The EU specifica ons require con nuous tes ng and re cer fica ons every 18 months of which Mei Cha abides and have passed all the EU Resolu on s stringent tes ng; mee ng the guidelines within the EU. LIPS Lips Colors NOTE: Lip Color Procedures Not Recommended For Fitzpatrick VI Skin Tones. The Forever Lips Colors are divided in three (3) Series: Titanium Free Maximizer Modifier/Corrector Although a lip formula may contain warm ingredients, because all lips have a cool undertone (some more than others), a lip color that is designated as warm will likely heal less warm than the formula on appears prior to the procedure. Achieving a warm lip is very challenging; the client s lips must be very pale to achieve this. Warmer ingredients are offered in selected formula ons to help prevent a too cool healed lip appearance, not necessarily to achieve a healed orange appearance. Even considering a pale lip canvas, the ar st nor the client may not see a no ceably orange appearance when healed. Page 3 of 16

PIGMENT TEMPERATURES: Neutral; Cool; Warm Neutral signifies no substan al temperature bias. However, all color results are dependent upon skin undertones. Cool and warm designa ons indicate the basic temperature bias of the pigment's color undertone. A temperature designa on does not necessarily indicate absolute cool or warm proper es; rather that the primary bias leans toward either cool or warm. There are different degrees of cool and warm. Some colors may be only slightly cool or warm, whereas others may be very cool or warm. Please note that all results are dependent not only on the color chosen, but the skin undertone of the client; the needle configura on used; and the technique employed. Each of those elements all play a very important role in the outcome of how warm or cool a color appears when healed. The pigment color temperature refers to the primary base of the pigment color leaning toward cool or warm. All color placed in skin will be influenced by skin s undertone. A er accessing your client s skin undertone and taking in considera on the technique being applied, adding warmth to prevent any blue and/or purple is the ar st s responsibility. How much warmth depends on all these above factors. Each ar st must work with Mei Cha colors and the client's individual skin undertones to determine the appropriate temperature bias of the correct pigment color selec on for each client. Note on color base descrip ons: The second word describes the most influen al hue; the first word describes that color s influence. Example: Orange &Yellow signifies the color is mainly orange but has a yellow influence. Page 9 of 16

GUIDELINES FOR PATCH TESTING Currently, the industry does not require a sensi vity test for possible allergic reac ons; however, Mei cha Interna onal strongly advocates conduc ng a thorough sensi vity test procedure prior to performing any Permanent Makeup/Micropigmenta on procedure with our pigment colors or any other pigment colors. For sensi vity tes ng, please refer to a Doctor or Medical Specialist allowed to perform such tests within your state, country and his/her report before doing the treatment. Carry out this test for every pigment color which is to be used. Check with your liability insurance carrier for addi onal guidelines and the suggested amount of me between sensi vity tes ng and performing the procedure. Note: If performing a skin sensi vity and/or color patch test, It is recommended to perform ALL these tests prior to any procedure. For sensi vity tes ng, please refer to a Doctor or Medical Specialist and his/her report before doing the treatment. Clients feel more assured when administered a skin sensi vity test to check for an adverse reac on. It is also advised to test for topical anesthe c sensi vity and an bacterial ointment sensi vity. THE FOLLOWING ARE ONLY RECOMMENDATIONS TO BE GIVEN TO A DOCTOR OR MEDICAL SPECIALIST IF REQUESTED, REGARDING SENSITIVITY TESTING: Skin/Sensi vity Test: Tests for sensi vi es and may indicate a possible allergic response or adverse reac on to the pigment/dye color. A medical history will help determine possible pigment/dye allergic reac ons. This is performed either behind the ears or between the toes. Inorganics (Iron Oxides, Chromiums & Ultramarines) this is normally a 2 7 day test. Organics (Lip & Scalp Organic Pigments & Carbon Based) this is normally a 7 10 day test. Organics (D&C and FD&C Dyes) this is normally a 7 10 day test. Sensi vi es to eye shadows, lips cks, and blush containing D&C dyes may indicate a poten al allergic response. Anesthe c/sensi vity Test: Conducted at the me as the skin sensi vity test by deposi ng several drops of anesthe c using a triple needle with a do ng method in an area other than the one that the color has been placed. An bio c Ointment/Sensi vity Test: (This test is recommended to be performed opposite of the ear that a skin sensivity test was performed). Perform another pigment color skin test then place a small amount of the an bio c ointment over the area where a pigment color skin test was performed (i.e. Back of Ear). Page 13of 16

GUIDELINES FOR PATCH TESTING (cont) Recommended test areas are as follows: Back of Ear: The back of the ear is sensi ve ssue and any adverse reac ons likely appear here. Between Toes: This area is usually enwrapped, warm and moist. The ssue is also sensi ve and any adverse reac ons will likely appear here. Procedure Site: This will show if the par cular site has suscep bility to an adverse reac on. Posi ve Reac on: Usually a reac on is pruri c, (intense itching of the skin without erup on) associated with erythema nodosum (abnormal redness of the skin with nodule like characteris cs). If this or any other abnormal reac on appears, it is advised to consult with a Physician. Cau on: Do Not perform a color/patch test if a skin sensi vity test proves posi ve. Nega ve Reac on: Without itching, abnormal redness or erup on. A nega ve sensi vity test result to organics does not guarantee that the client will not develop pigment/dye sensi vity months or years later. HOW TO PERFORM A PATCH COLOR TEST Patch tes ng serves to test for color outcome. Using a new sterile triple prong needle, perform a patch color test by deposi ng a series of (6 12) dots of color into the dermal layer of the skin. If mixing two or more pigments/dyes, patch color test with all the pigment colors blended together. The ingredients differ in the organic pigments, therefore; it is necessary to perform a separate patch color test with EACH organic pigment. Color/Patch Test: Tests for color outcome assuring the client and ar st that the best pigment color was chosen. This is normally a 30 day test and performed on procedure site area. For uniformity, patch test laterally on both eyes, both eyebrows and lip corners. For ques ons or comments about performing patch color tes ng, please contact us at (714)566 0066 The recommenda ons expressed herein are those of Mei Cha for educa onal purposes only and is not intended as a subs tute for training or medical advice.
