P a g e 2 S a c o B a y A r t i s t s N e w s l e t t e r SBA WEBSITE CHANGES Stephen Beckett, a new member to SBA, has graciously stepped forward and offered to revamp and tend to our website. By the time you read this, the revised site should be up and running. Check it out at www.sacobayartists.org Under the Our Artists section, it is our plan to list all of our members (just names, no contact information unless you approve). If you have a website, please let us know so we can link directly to your site. If you would like a page with contact information and pictures (up to 4), please give that information to Stephen Beckett at mayaway@maine.rr.com. Pictures may be any size and any format. He will adjust them for the site. We want to extend our gratitude and thanks to Stephen for his generous offer to recreate and maintain our web connection for the outside world. In addition, we sincerely thank Sandy Katz for her many contributions of keeping the site updated and current during the recent past. Breakfast with the Artist At the Nonantum Resort The Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport sponsors Breakfast with the Artist on Sundays from May 27 - October 28. Artists can set up a display in the lobby which guests can enjoy on their way to or from the breakfast buffet served every Sunday. It's a lovely spot with good clientele. Many artists go back year after year, so you know it's been a good location for them. Set up time usually starts at 7AM and you stay there till 11AM- Noon. If you're interested, call Tim Ames at 967-4050 to schedule a date. Indoor Artists Yard Sale Maine Women in the Arts is sponsoring an indoor art sale on Saturday, April 14, 9AM-4PM at the Kennebunkport Fire House, 33 North St., Kennebunkport. This will be a great opportunity to pick up reasonably priced art supplies. The Frameworks has already donated a bunch of frames for the sale. There will be many other great buys. Do stop by!

I'm looking for the two-part ones that are each approximately three feet tall and can be hooked together to form a single unit that is about 5-1/2-6 feet tall. The units can also be hooked together at the top to make a wall. The metal racks are then usually covered with fabric for display purposes. If you have anything like this that you're interested in selling, please contact Kathy Angel Lee at 937-2125 or klee@maine.rr.com Editor s Ramblings. And writer s block indeed has stuck your Editor this month. Hopefully the newsletter doesn t reflect this artistic funk that I m in...and next month this issue will have passed. Very much looking forward to the summer show season, as I am sure many of you are. Let s hope for beautiful sunny days with NO wind and low humidity. I would still like to hear more input from our membership about newsletter content and what each of you are doing to market your art. Without your input, the newsletter will be less vibrant and creative...and that s not a good thing for a very talented group of artists. Wendy B.
