UNIFORM DRESS CODE We believe there is a direct relationship between being properly dressed and having productive work habits in school. The uniform for Victory Christian Academy provides a neat and orderly appearance for all students. The uniform policy has been carefully described in detail to provide clarity for parents. Complete compliance with our dress code policy is required for each student. Parents share in the responsibility for making sure their child comes to school in the proper uniform each day. VCA reserves the right to forbid any items of clothing or jewelry if they are deemed inappropriate or may infringe upon student health and or safety. The school administration has the final authority on all uniform matters. Leading the Next Generation to Higher Standards through Christian Education. REGULAR DAYS Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays are considered VCA s Regular Uniform Days. On these days students may wear any regular day attire in the correct combination. Friday shirts can also be worn on Fridays with navy blue bottoms. Students are permitted to wear tennis shoes with Regular Day attire. All shoes and socks must comply with our five school colors (blue, black, brown, white, and gray). All Regular Day tops and Friday shirts are to be purchased at the Eagle s Nest Store.
REGULAR DAY CONTINUED ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (K5 6 TH ) The VCA navy blue polo must be worn with khaki pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). Girls will have the option of wearing the khaki pleated skirt or the V-neck jumper dress. The VCA white polo must be worn with navy pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). Girls will have the option of wearing the navy pleated skirt or the V-neck jumper dress. Additional Options: The VCA Friday t-shirt must be worn with navy pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). Girls will have the option of wearing the navy pleated skirt or the V-neck jumper dress. Please be aware this option is only permitted on Fridays. Pants and short must be the traditional uniform bottoms. All pants must be ankle length. Jean textured pants are not permitted.
MIDDLE SCHOOL (7 TH 8 TH ) The VCA navy polo must be worn with khaki pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). The VCA white polo must be worn with navy pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). HIGH SCHOOL (9 TH 12 TH ) VCA navy polo with the high school crest must be worn with khaki pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front). VCA light blue polo with high school crest must be worn with navy pants or kneelength shorts (pleated or flat front).
DRESS DAYS Every Tuesday and Wednesday is Dress Day. Each year we begin Dress Day in the month of October. Students will have a required uniform attire that must be worn on these days. In addition to the uniform description below, all students are required to wear solid black or brown dress shoes every Dress Day. Shorts are not permitted on Dress Days. ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Boys must wear the VCA white polo with navy pants (pleated or flat front). Girls must wear the VCA white polo with the navy pleated skirt or the V-neck jumper dress. Only French Toast full pleated skirts are permitted. Therefore, all skirt sand Jumper dresses must be purchased from the school uniform store or purchased directly from the frenchtoast.com website. MIDDLE SCHOOL Boys must wear a white dress shirt (short or long sleeves) with the VCA navy V-neck sweater, navy adjustable tie, and navy pants (pleated or flat front). Solid brown or solid black dress shoes or loafers must also be worn on Dress Days.
Girls must wear the white VCA Peter Pan blouse, navy crossbow and, navy pleated skirt. Solid brown or solid black dress shoes or loafers must also be worn on Dress Days. HIGH SCHOOL Boys must wear a white dress shirt (short or long sleeves) with the navy/gold plaid tie, navy VCA blazer, and khaki pants. Solid brown or solid black dress shoes or loafers must also be worn on Dress Days. Girls must wear white dress blouse, blue/gold plaid tie, navy VCA blazer, and blue/gold plaid skirt. Solid brown or solid black dress shoes or loafers must also be worn on Dress Days.
SCHOOL ACCESSORIES All clothing, back packs, and hair accessories must contain ONLY the five school colors: white, black, blue, gray or brown (NO rose gold). Belts must only be solid black or brown. Book bags and jackets must be character free. Pants and shorts must have belt loops and should not be capris, skinny fit, joggers or cargo styles. Pants must be ankle length. (See violation brochure). GIRLS UNIFORM: Hair must be natural in color. Two-toned hairstyles are not permitted including braids. Bandanas and scarves are prohibited. All head bands must be school colors. Colored contact lenses are prohibited. Boots must be worn under trousers and are only permitted in the winter months (December February). Skinny fit pants or shorts are prohibited. Cargo, ripped, and capri bottoms are prohibited. JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES: Female students may wear one earring per ear (small studs or small hoops) in school colors, silver or gold. Female students may wear one silver or gold ring per hand. Female students may wear one silver or gold bracelet per hand. Female students may wear one school color, silver or gold necklace, which must be worn inside the shirt. White or yellow gold only. BOYS UNIFORMS: Boys must maintain a traditional, low-form haircut. Hair length must not exceed that of a 1 ¼ inch clipper guard. Highlights, mohawks, dreadlocks, spikes, lines, parts or designs of any kind are prohibited. JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES: Male students may wear one silver or gold ring per hand. Males students may wear one silver or gold necklace, which must be worn inside the shirt. Male students are not permitted to wear earrings. Male students are not permitted to wear bracelets.
The following applies to all grade levels: All uniform tops must be purchased at the Eagle s Nest Store. Tennis or athletic shoes are not permitted on Dress Days. Spares and Loafers must be solid black or brown when worn on Dress Days. Tennis shoes must not have lights or glow in the dark features. Uniform bottoms can be purchased at www.frenchtoast.com using the school code: QS5UCCS Uniform items are not available for rental. Students will not be permitted to attend classes if they are in violation of the Dress Code Policy. If a student is in violation of the uniform regulation, the parents must bring the required uniform items for their student or take the student home. NO UNIFORM TODAY DRESS CODE No Uniform Today or N.U.T days are a privilege for students, not a right. Students in violation of the N.U.T day dress code will not be permitted to class and will receive a violation slip. On N.U.T days, students may either choose to adhere to stated N.U.T day dress code for that day or follow regular uniform dress requirement. The following is a partial list of items not appropriate at any time. Skin tight clothing Low cut blouse or dresses Low rise jeans, skinny jeans or cut-offs Halter tops Sleeveless shirts Baggy pants or shoes Spaghetti straps Ripped or torn jeans Shorts, skirts or dresses more than two inches above the knee Flip-flops or sandals Any clothing, haircut, and/or accessory that becomes a distraction to students, teachers, or in general and therefore interferes with the learning process is not appropriate. The school reserves the right to define what is appropriate. Students found in uniform violation will be required to change.
