Attachment #1 Addendum #1 RFP 18-05: Uniform Services April 28, 2017 VII. SCOPE OF WORK: 1. The following should be considered the minimum scope of work to be reflected in the Proposal. Respondents are encouraged to further detail this scope of work in their Proposal, if they choose. Any exception to portions of this scope of work must be made clearly in a separate section of the Proposal so that it may be considered during evaluation. Any value-added recommendations that are deemed outside the scope of work should be so noted by the Respondent and the associated cost broken out, so that the Proposals may be evaluated on a consistent basis. 2. The vendor will provide through separate meetings/presentations choices of work style clothing to select from. The selection committee shall select from chosen vendors the type, style and quantity of clothing they select and notify that vendor to submit their price proposal based on the selection from their products. 3. All Shirts and Jackets shall have the person s name (if required), County Seal and if possible the Departments Title printed, stenciled or embroidered on the garment. A copy of the Seal will be provided for reference. The vendor will provide best options to apply this information on all shirts and jackets (sizes provided for each division). If more than one option is provided pricing for all shall be provided as part of their proposal. Department Titles are as follows: Development Services (may change prior to contract award), Engineering and Construction, Wastewater, Roads and Solid Waste Division, Community Services/Cecil Transit, etc. All titles shall be validated by the awarded vendor prior to preparing uniforms. 5. Vendors will be asked to provide samples of all proposed clothing items and accessories as part of their presentation if they are selected as the top 2 or 3 proposals. 6. If vendors pricing varies depending on which clothing items are selected, separate price lists shall be provided as part of the proposal 7. Vendor pricing should minimally reflect the cost for new uniforms for all sections. 8. All new employees shall be issued new clothing and any replacement clothing shall be new or like-new (no stains, visible repairs, excessively worn) items. Final replacement approval will be given by the division chief or department supervisor. The County does not set DBE/MBE requirements but fully encourage minority business participation with all contracted services.
