SS19 Charlie Allen s New Menswear Range FASHION X ART Charlie describes his first in 8 years collection as an energetic line for the explorer, who dreams of the future. The capsule collection is a vibrant celebration of colours with the artist s paintings replicated on a selection of the garments. An exploration of Art and appearance intelligently combined. A dapper combination of tailored suits, shorts and shirts, including a selection which replicates Chapellier s extravagant brushstrokes; each piece becomes subtly worn art. His collections have shown in New York, Paris, Tokyo and London. Tailoring clients include Princess Anne, Nick Hornby, Lenny Henry, Adrian Lester, Maro Itoje, Andrew Flintoff, Ricky Gervais, Prince and many more. Charlie went to the Chelsea School of Art, followed by two years of studying menswear at the Royal College of Art where he would later become the head of menswear from 1994 to 1997. His first ever collection sold internationally and won the European Linen Designer of the Year award. His corporate clients have included Arsenal Football Club, BQIA Airways, Umbro, SAKS 5th Avenue, Nike and United Airlines. www.charlieallen.co.uk Instagram: @charlieallen_bespoke José Chapellier born in the Liege region of Belgium. Chapellier has been largely self taught, briefly dabbling in formal education at the Fine Arts Academy in Liège and mentored in the studio of Belgian artist Rik Slabbinck. Jose has worked in a variety of mediums including sculpture, canvas and panels choosing to master and work predominately in his preferred technique of Eglomise (painting on the reverse of glass to create the image on the right side) Wether you paint with tar or pigeon shit, the only thing that counts is the result. His work has been exhibited all over the world for over 40 years including at Venices Palais des Doges.
