C D This ad promoted a series of in-store trunk shows that I did in 1984. Check out the hair what was I thinking??! Over the years I ve drawn inspiration for many of our best selling designs from my friends, my family, customers -- and Little Black Dress Consultants, of course! When you're selling LBD jewelry, you will find that customers are very interested in hearing the stories behind the designs; so here's few of those stories to share! A Gem Dandy RSR-GEMD-WT (sizes 5-9), $35 RSG-GEMD-AM (sizes 5-9), $40 This design was inspired by my grandmother's circa 1916 engagement ring. As you can see, grandma Pearl McCannel Anderson had excellent taste. Her platinum ring was bezel set with a large diamond. We have created the same look - but with genuine white topaz set in platinum plated sterling silver for only $35! This design was so popular that LBD also released it in sterling vermeil set with genuine amethyst for only $40! B Manhattan Kisses NSR-MANH-16-CZ, $150 NSR-MANH-18-CZ, $165 About 4 years ago, the buyer from the Shopping Channel in Canada asked me to include a "red carpet" look for an upcoming program. I searched through In-Style and my other favorite celeb mags, and noticed that "wreath" necklaces were very popular. The resulting design was the Manhattan Kisses necklace. This 'triple A' Cubic Zirconia wreath design is set in platinum plated sterling silver. I think this piece captures the quality and look of a $295,000 Harry Winston necklace but isn't it much more fun at the LBD price of $150?! C Misty RSR-MIST-MG (sizes 6-9) About 2 years ago, Jean Peacock (an LBD Consultant and Pink Diamond Award Winner) told me about a beautiful gemstone called "Caribbean Topaz". I contacted the manufacturer of this trademarked gemstone, and was shocked at the price - it was far too high! Therefore, I asked one of LBD s manufacturers to create a similar gemstone. That s how the "California Mystic CZ" gemstone was born. Imagine how pleased I was when they created a similar look - exclusive to LBD - at a much more affordable price! D California Wildflowers NFR-CAWI-16-00, $45 Trish, one of my best fashion gal pals, insisted that we needed more flower jewelry in the Little Black Dress Fashion Jewelry Collection. So I created this design, inspired by one of my mother's vintage clip-on earrings. I took the flower earring and created several links to form a necklace.
