Wounds include leg and diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, partial thickness burns, donor sites and other wounds that are prone to bleeding, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds that heal by primary intention, and oncology wounds with exudate. 6 Aquacel Ag+ Exufiber Ag+ Contraindications: Exufiber brand dressings are not intended for use on dry or full thickness burns. For external use only. Antimicrobial action / Reduced risk of infection in vitro studies demonstrated: 1-4 rapid antimicrobial action lasting up to 7 days effective against a broad range of pathogens including VRE and MRSA provides an effective barrier against bacterial penetration kills >99% of mould within 24hrs may reduce odour Precautions: Exufiber brand dressings should be inspected frequently and administered by health care professionals. Exufiber Ag+ should not be used in patients with sensitivity to silver or other contents of the Exufiber brand dressings. Frequent or prolonged use may cause permanent discolouration of the skin and there is limited data with regards to the use of silver containing dressings in children and neonates. Exufiber Ag+ should be removed prior to commencing radiation treatment and should avoid contact with electrodes or conductive gels during electronic measurements. Do not use Exufiber Ag+ together with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide; interactions with cleansing agents, other than saline solution, has not been demonstrated.
