Italy NATIONAL COMPETITION 1 ST JUNE 2018 Sala Conferenze Fondazione Caritro Via Calepina 1, Trento Once a year a selected group of business, student, and academic leaders from across the country gather together to showcase how entrepreneurial action and shared innovation is transforming lives and creating a better future. On the 1st of June, Enactus teams from across Italy compete in the 2018 Enactus Italy National Competition in Trento. This dynamic, energy-filled event will bring together university students, academics, and senior Italian business leaders for a day of celebration and collaboration of Youth Social Action and Social Enterprise. This event is about more than just a competition and includes Project Exhibitions, Keynote Speakers, and Networking Opportunities. ABOUT ENACTUS ITALY Enactus Italy was founded in 2016, it is the youngest branch of the international organization. UNIVERSITY PROGRAMS Our mission is to engage the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders to use innovation and business principles to improve the world. Working with leading corporate partners and universities, Enactus Italy establishes student programs on campuses across the nation. Macerata Università degli studi di Macerata Calypso Kiosk / An orchard and kiosk run by immigrants women aimed at regenerating an abandoned agricultural area, in collaboration with local governement, schools and associations. Enactus Italy enables students to apply their academic knowledge to create their own community development outreach projects aimed at improving both the quality of life and standard of living of their beneficiaries. Trento Università degli studi di Trento Kilimangiamo / A travelling food truck run by trained immigrants that nurtures cultural integration by delivering high quality dishes. Verona Università degli studi di Verona 2x2 / A cross generational financial literacy program for seniors to both uplift the community of Vicenza and encourage social inclusion. Rome Milan Ancona Vercelli John Cabot University Our Common Thread / A social enterprise aiding refugee women to pursue a job in tailoring, through the refurbishing and sale of second-hand clothes. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore ThisAbility / A job-searching platform that supports people with disabilities, while allowing hiring companies to look beyond disability. Università Politecnica delle Marche NephroAid / An innovative and accessible medical aid for nephrostomy patients that allow them to regain an independent lifestyle. Università degli studi del Piemonte Orientale WhyHelp / A travelling medical truck operated by unemployed graduated medicine students able to provide medical care to isolated communities.
INDIVIDUAL TOPIC COMPETITION In December, Enactus Italy launched the first Individual Topic Competition sponsored by KPMG.
