LightSheer DUET laser treatment The High Speed LightSheer DUET is a laser that produces a large beam of highly concentrated light. The light emitted is well absorbed by the pigment located in the hair follicles. During the procedure, the laser pulses for a fraction of a second, allowing the hair to absorb the light and heat up. As it heats up, the hair shaft and bulb are damaged which significantly impedes its ability to regrow. The process can treat numerous hair follicles simultaneously, faster than other laser hair removal alternatives. The LightSheer High Speed handpiece uses breakthrough vacuum assisted technology in combination with diode laser light to allow rapid and comfortable treatment of large areas. A back or legs can be treated in 15 to 20 minutes, without the need for topical numbing creams. What to expect? The laser works best when hairs are in an early growth stage. Because all of the hairs are not in this phase at the same time, multiple treatments are required. The appearance of the treated area immediately following treatment will vary from patient to patient, depending on the extent of the procedure and the skin type. Side effects are rare and, if they do occur, are typically minor. They may include redness and swelling around the hair follicle, indicating that the follicle has responded to treatment. Etiquette Appointments: Booking two to three weeks in advance is recommended to secure your best choice of appointment dates and times. Checking in: Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to your service, allowing plenty of time for a leisurely check in. Being late may result in a shortened appointment as other guests may be scheduled after you. Cancellation: 48 hours notice is required for all cancellations. Kindly understand you will be charged 50% of each service if you change your appointment without the minimum notice. What to do about shaving? We recommend shaving the day before for all laser services. Waxing is best when hair growth is about 1/2 cm long. Gift cards: Available for purchase in $25 increments.
