Jojoba Buttercreme Formulation Considerations Buttercreme (with a ph of 8 to 10) requires neutralization in skin care formulations. The addition of stearic acid or citric acid is recommended. In formulations containing Carbopol type polymers, Buttercreme will act as a natural neutralizing agent. Primary emulsifiers are required to produce stable emulsions with Buttercreme.
