ABOUT RELAXATION STATION Beauty and Bodyworks opened in 2011 with the goal of providing affordable spa & health education services to help people achieve a balanced and healthy lifestyle. With society becoming increasingly busy, people are finding themselves overworked, and only having limited time to focus on health. Beauty and Bodyworks seeks to solve this problem by bringing affordable relaxation services to the customer anytime, anywhere. This idea started when I noticed the need for relaxation services in the work place, and then I realized there was a much bigger need. Every person deserves a relaxing and recharging experience and shouldn t have to compromise because of their schedules- that s the promise of the Relaxation Station. THE RELAXATION STATION is a mobile spa service provided onsite to the customer and their guests using state of the art equipment, organic and holistic products, delivered by extensively trained and certified therapists. ABOUT THE OWNER Christian Monk is the creator and owner of Beauty and Bodyworks Day Spa. Her entrepreneurial spirit matched with her love for all things beauty has created a business focusing on healing, education, and improved health of the skin and body. As a 2nd generation massage therapist, Christian developed an appreciation and love for the art of massage therapy from her father. Following in his footsteps, she trained at Irene s Myomassology Institute where she studied various forms of massage therapy such as: Thai, Shiatsu, Swedish, and Prenatal just to name a few. She is also a licensed esthetician and nail technician, receiving her certification from Michigan College of Beauty. OUR SERVICES The Relaxation Station can deliver any or all of these services: TABLE MASSAGE 30 minute refresher sessions on the massage table that include a combination of Swedish, Thai and pressure point techniques with light, medium or firrm pressure. MINI MASSAGE 5, 10 or 15-minute sessions on the massage table or on our state of the art luxury massage chairs. Our mini massages are great spot treatments that address aches and pains and provide temporary relief until a longer session is scheduled. HEAD, NECK OR HAND MASSAGE 10 or 15 minute sessions that are relaxing and effective. These sessions are recommended for formal events where chair/table massage may not fit but you still want to pamper your guests. REFLEXOLOGY Recline and relax in our zero gravity chairs and receive a hand and foot massage while enjoying the healthy benefits of reflexology. MINI MANICURE/PEDICURE This quick but effective service includes shaping of the hands and feet, light cuticle work, a hydrating mask and massage finished with our one week no chip fast drying polish. DIY FACIAL AND/OR MAKE UP STATION & MAKE UP PARTIES The DIY facial and make up station was created to educate women about the application of make up and skin care. The goal is to help women match the perfect pigments to their skin tone and facial structure and learn what ingredients are needed for their unique skin type.
