We changed the sequence of the traditional pedi and added the procedures and products we knew would guarantee better results. A pedicure is always judged by two elements. 1. The condition of the heels 2 days after your pedi and 2. The quality of your varnish. WELCOME TO THE NEW SUPER PEDICURE We know you might have some questions, so here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the MediHeel Pedi. Is this a Natural Product? Although Elim always tries to use an alternative natural active, this product is not registered under Natural or Organic Products. It is a Medical Pedicure and the Peel should be treated like any other Chemical Peel. What is the active ingredient in the Callus Removal Tonic? Sodium and Potassium Hydroxide. It is an alkaline solution and therefor necessary to neutralize the skin after application. Are the products save for Diabetics? Yes, all Elim Products are safe for Diabetics, Only clients suffering from Psoriasis, Eczema on the feet or using Re-acutan should not use the Callus Removal Tonic. Can I use the products on my bleeding cracks? Only avoid the Callus Removal tonic when cracks are bleeding. All other products are safe. Will there be a sensation? There should be no sensation, when using any of the Elim Products How do I apply the Callus Removal tonic? There is an instruction video on Youtube and our website. Make sure you use only cotton wool. Do I need gloves? As this is a chemical and the PH of the product is high, you need to use gloves to protect your hands. If I experience an allergic reaction or burning, what do I do? Do not apply water immediately, but rather wash the feet with the neutralizer, keep this on for 2 minutes before rinsing with water. Do I need Clingwrap when using the Callus Removal Tonic? Wrapping the heels in clingwrap will intensify the process. This may be used for extreme cases of cracked heels. How long do I leave the Callus Removal Tonic on? Between 10 and 15 minutes.
Introducing the MediHeel Programme 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 Chemical Peel - Place thin layers of cotton wool on the heel. Gently place dropper and squeeze the Callus Remover to soak the cotton wool. Apply approximately one teaspoon to each foot. This replaces any filing or blading. Clip & File toenails to desired length and shape with soft corners. You may use your own file and clipper. Buff nails to get rid of harsh discoloration. You may use your own buffer. This is an important part of preparing the nail for varnish. Cuticle Care - apply the Elim Cuticle Remover to the cuticles. Wait 30 seconds and remove unwanted cuticles with your orange stick. Remove the Dead skin Cells from the Heel - It should be 10 minutes by now and you are ready to remove the cotton wool from the heel and scrape off the softened skin cells with your plastic scraper. Pumice Buffing - With your Elim Pumice Stone, gently buff the heel with long hard strokes. Any unwanted skin that might still be on the heel, will now be gone. Neutralize - apply 2 ml of Elim Neutralizer to a damp cloth or a Cotton pad and wipe the area where the tonice was applied. This ensures the skins natural PH. Exfoliate - With circular upward motions apply the AHA Foot Exfoliator to the Feet and Lower legs. You may massage this in gently to secure a deep exfoliation. Soaking - Add 1 teaspoon of Spa Additive to your Pedi Bath and fill with warm water. The feet can now be rinsed from any unwated granules that was left behind after exfoliation. Dry the feet with a towel. Hydration Mask - Spread 5 ml of the Elim UltraMud clay mask over the feet and ankles. Leave feet in a warm compress to absorb hydrating actives. Wash off after 3 minutes and dry feet well. Massage - The feet can now be massaged with the MediHeel Foot Perfector. This is your opportunity to massage the client for deep relaxation. You may also combine this step and add the Cuticle MD to the Cuticles. Cleaning the Nail Bed - Thoroughly clean the nail bed of any excess oils and silicons. This is an important step to ensure varnish will last longer. Apply the Varnish - Starting with your Hardener/Base Coat, then apply colour and finish off with the Top Coat/ Express Dry. Should you wish to use your Cuticle MD at this stage rather than as part of the massage, you may opt to. Apply Cuticle Oil only on dry Varnish. Final Step - Spritz the legs and feet with the Elim Rejuvenating Gold Spritz. Make sure you shake the bottle vigorously and do not despense any spritz if the gold is still at the bottom of your bottle.
