ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS Award winners are selected based upon evidence of results that positively affect the environment. About Asheville GreenWorks Founded in 1973 Mission: To inspire, equip and mobilize individuals and communities to take care of the places we love to live. Since 1973, GreenWorks has worked to enhance the community through educational and volunteer-based environmental programs.
