Established in 1986, Mavive is currently under the stewardship of the third and fourth generation of the Vidal family, which first entered the body-care sector in the early 1900s. Mavive s distinguished history has always been interwoven with its birthplace: Venice. This unique and timeless city continues to represent its source of creativity and inspiration. Mavive is directly involved in the Italian market and operates at the international level through a network of selected distributors. 3

MUSEUM OF PERFUME MOCENIGO PALACE In the last few years, the Vidal family s relationship with Venice became further substantiated through a visionary project involving the Palazzo Mocenigo; namely, the creation, installation, and investiture of the first Perfume Museum in Italy. In 2014, this initiative was honoured by the bestowal of the Premio Cultura + Impresa award (for pre-eminent cultural sponsorships and partnerships in Italy). This in turn, led to the creation of a new product line: The Merchant of Venice. A highly crafted line that takes its inspiration from the city of Venice and its centuries-old trade with Asia. 5

MUSEUM OF PERFUME MOCENIGO PALACE The Perfume section is developed through a chronological and multi-sensorial path. From the history of cosmetics, with a focus on Venice s role, the Museum presents original instrument, historical artefacts, precious documents and an extraordinary collection of perfume bottle, real jewels of old world craftsmanship. Room 13:introduction to the history of perfume in Venice. Room 14: reconstruction of muschiere s laboratory, depositary of ancient recepies and tecniques of XVI century. Room 15: exhibition of raw materials and explanation of ancient production techniques. Room 16: exhibition of perfume bottles from Storp s collection. Room 17: presentation of 24 essential oils from the main olfactory families. Room 18 e 19: exhibition of a rare perfumer s table (Vidal Collection) and women s portraits from Correr Palace collection. MUSEUM OF PERFUME STORP COLLECTION The Storp Collection is the most important perfume bottle collection of the world. It s a private collection, placed in Munich and it counts 3000 precious pieces of every era, from 6.000 B.C. The Storp Collection is stable partner of Mavive s cultural activities. The partnership is realized through a joint organization of temporary exhibitions and the loan of some pieces from the collection for exhibition organized with other partners. 8
MUSEUM OF PERFUME PERFUME LABORATORY With the restoration of Museum of Mocenigo Palace a new Perfume Laboratory was opened, a space dedicated to educational activities for schools, families, Italian and foreign turists who want to discover the world of perfumery. Some activities proposed: - Perfume Hunt: the participants can explore raw materials of natural origin. through the sense of touch and the smell. They are approched to the world of fragrances that are at the base of olfactory families which every type of perfume born from; - The Perfume Revealed: after a visit tour of Museum of Perfume follows a pratical excercise in the laboratory using oils and different instruments to compose the personal perfume, to bring with at the end of the activity. 9
MUSEUM OF PERFUME WHITE ROOM In 2015 during the 56 Venice Biennial it was inaugurated a new room at the Museum of Mocenigo Palace, an exhibition space with the temporary art installation The Rape of Venice of the Venetian artist Andrea Morucchio. After the installation move of which remained the mosaic floor inspired to Venetian mosaics, the White Room hosted a lot of temporary exhibitions about cosmetics and perfume. 10

MUSEUM OF PERFUME ARTISANS AT THE PALACE Artisans at the Palace is the day dedicated to the artistic craftmanship which took place on 8 th April 2018 at Mocenigo Palace, promoted by Confartigianato Venezia, Mavive and The Merchant of Venice in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia. For the first time the Venetian artisans were invited to exhibit their artworks through the rooms of the Museum and to do some live performance of their work. The visitors could deepen the production tecniques, the raw materials and the creativity that characterize each work. The aim of this initiative was to value knowledge and skills of the tradition that today represent an important resaurce for the economic and social development of the city of Venice. 12
EXHIBITION MUSEUM OF PERFUME «LITTLE BIG THINGS» Little Big Things is the temporary exhibition made at Museum of Mocenigo Palace between September 2014 and January 2015, born from the collaboration of Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Mavive and Drom Fragrances. Organized in four thematic sections, the exhibition presented a selection of artworks from Storp Collection, from ancient pieces, like the Egyptian oil vase from III/II century B.C., the glass or porcelain or biscuits bottles from XVI century to the glass bottle designed by Dalì and the famous creations of the most important contemporary perfume companies. 13
EXHIBITION MUSEUM OF PERFUME «INEDITED DIALOGUES BETWEEN GLASS AND PERFUME» In 2016 Museum of Mocenigo Palace hosted Inedited Dialogues between glass and perfume, the exhibition with unique and original pieces made by Murano masters and designers accompained by exclusive fragrances created by Mavive. The exhibition curated by Chiara Squarcina and Marco Vidal was realized in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, Mavive, Drom Fragrances, Consorzio Promovetro, IED, IUAV, Linea d Acqua e Balbi Art Glass. 14
EXHIBITION MUSEUM OF PERFUME «CABINET OF CURIOSITIES» The exhibition Cabinet of Curiosities was realized in 2017 at Museum of Mocenigo Palace thanks to the collaboration with Drom Fragrances, well-known fragrance company, Mavive SpA and Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia. The great exhibition of amazing and rare perfume bottles included a selection of the most precious bottles of Storp Collection. The exhibition proposed a rappresentation of the world through misterious objects from history, nature, science and arts. The exhibition was organized in three sections: Naturalia, Artificialia e Mirabilia. 15
EXHIBITION - VITTORIALE DEGLI ITALIANI «D ANNUNZIO AND THE ART OF PERFUME. ODORARIUS MIRABILIS» Promoted by Marco Vidal and Mavive SpA and sought by Giordano Bruno Guerri, President of Il Vittoriale degli Italiani Foundation the exhibition d Annunzio and the Art of Perfume. Odorarius Mirabilis at Vittoriale degli Italiani is an olfactory vision. It will be visited until 27 th January 2019. Gabriele d Annunzio was a poet, a famous intellectual, a dandy and a strategist. For him the perfume was everything and everything was perfume. The objects visible at the exhibition are 150, organized in four thematic sections. The setting was projected by Pier Luigi Pizzi, international art director; the catalogue was edited by the historian Paola Goretti. The exhibition completes the d Annunzio project born in 2017 that gave back to d Annunzio his perfume. By an agreement between Mavive and Il Vittoriale degli Italiani Foundation is born I Profumi di d Annunzio Collection, inspired to the poet. It is composed by six fragrances: Acqva Nvntia, Hermione, Il Piacere, Divina Musa, Il Fuoco e Notturno. 16
PARTNERSHIP MÚSES MÚSES: the European academy of essence born under the project of Terre dei Savoia Association that realized the exhibition under the guide of Umberto Pecchini curator, with the collaboration of Mavive, Chiara Artico, coordinator of the project, and Giancarlo Ottolini, scientific advisor. 17
PARTNERSHIP MIRAMARE CASTLE Mavive worked for the realisation of the Exhibition on flower decoration on ceramic which took place at Miramare Castle, residence of Hapsburg court on the Trieste gulf that today is the historic Museum of Miramare Castle. Mavive realised olfactory stations outside and inside the Castle. 18
PARTNERSHIP HISTORY OF PERFUME. PERFUME OF HISTORY In 2017 Mavive arranged the multi-sensorial path and the thematics of the exhibition History of Perfume. Perfume of History which took place in 2009 for the rooms of Villa Badoer and was promoted by Fratta Polesine municipality, University of Ferrara, Veneto Museums, Padova and Rovigo Saving and Loan. The exhibition presented four different sections: - History of Perfume; - Archaeological sources; - Old documents; - Vintage posters, calendars and other materials concerning perfume world. 19
PARTNERSHIP WOOD OBSESSION Mavive arranged the multi-sensorial path of Wood Obsession, the exhibition which took place in 2016 at Loredan Palace in Venice. The exhibition was part of DESIGN.VE, a new format devoted to design and providing a wider look at the design world. It is centered around a thematic group show presented alongside a series of collateral exhibitions located across the city. Unexpected places for design: historic buildings, hidden cloisters, design boutiques, private galleries and intriguing places will plot the design cardinal points of the DESIGN.VE MAP. For this exhibition Mavive realized the olfactory stations for the rooms of the Palace in four different fragrances dedicated to wooden notes. The theme of exhibition was dedicated to design and wooden creations. 20
PARTNERSHIP LA BIENNALE DI VENEZIA In 2017 Mavive took part at the 57 th Venice Biennal, presenting the collections by The Merchant of Venice at Luxus exhibition at Venice Pavillon. The curator of the exhibition, Stefano Zecchi, wanted to narrate the luxury through the Venetian craftmanship. 21
PUBLICATIONS SECRETI NOBILISSIMI DELL ARTE PROFUMATORIA For the 25 th anniversary Mavive promoted the fac-simile reprint of the ancient book Secreti Nobilissimi dell'arte Profumatoria, the first book about cosmetics and perfumes, published for the first time in 1555. Giovanventura Rosetti s work is considered the first western book on perfume recipes. It testifies the high level of scientific competence on the topic by Venice in the XVI th century. It contains more than 300 recipes of perfumes and cosmetics like water of rose, lavander, jasmine, cinnamon oil, Cipro powder, musk powder and also recipes for teeth whitening and hear lightening. 22
PUBLICATIONS PERFUME AND LITERATURE Mavive contributed to the publication of the book Perfume and Literature, published in 2014 by SKIRA in Italian and English language. The publication illustrates the extensive, diversified roots of perfume in the universe of literature and world culture. This book is testimony to just what degree smells and the world of fragrances have always played a constant role in society, at all levels and at various latitudes. It is clear that leading the concept of perfume back to alcoholic compositions is restrictive: perfume encompasses anything that stimulates the sense of smell, offering emotive sensations that reflect the multiple facets and complexity of interpersonal relationships. 23
PUBLICATIONS HISTORY OF PERFUME IN VENICE The book written by Anna Messinis and edited by Linee d Acqua in 2017, covers the history of Perfumery in the Serenissima Republic from the Byzantine origins to the cosmetic industry of the twentieth century through an archive study and original documents, to delimit the beginning and the historical truth of Venetian perfume art. The volume is opened by a Byzantine scholar Frederick Lauritzen's work with a focus on the relationship between Venetian perfume and the Byzantine Orient to delimit the historical context of cultural and commercial exchanges that allows the development of cosmetic tradition in the Venetian Lagoon. The research was strongly demanded by the Venetian cosmetics company Mavive. 24

PARTECIPATION TO VENETO CANTIERE CULTURA 2016 Mavive gave its testimony at Veneto Cantiere Cultura. La rete per uno sviluppo del territorio 2016, the most important regional event on the role of culture and the tecniques to expand its precense on the territory.. The event is organized by Regione del Veneto, in collaboration with AGIS Tre Venezie and H-Farm. Furthermore, the company collaborates with the Universities of Veneto region in order to share with students and professors its history and economical and cultural experience. SPONSORSHIP LA FENICE THEATRE From 2015 Mavive is sustaining member of La Fenice Theatre, one of the most important and beautiful theatre of the world that hosted the most important musicians and singers. From 2016 the brand name of the theatre was granted for the creation of the fragrance collection La Fenice signed by The Merchant of Venice. 27
OTHER SPONSORSHIPS Mavive supported economically the most important Venetian events: Historical Venetian Regata, 2017 and 2018 editions, the main Voga alla Veneta competition, the unique Venetian sport with a thousand year long history. Festa del Redentore, 2017 and 2018 editions, is an event held in Venice the third Sunday of July where the fireworks play an important role.the Redentore began as a feast - held on the day of the Feast of the Most Holy Redeemer - to give thanks for the end of the terrible plague of 1576, which killed 50,000 people, Venice Carnival, 2017 edition. 28

In 2017 Mavive sponsored Opera Festival at Arena di Verona. The important event envolves cunductors, directors and important opera singers from all around the world.
