Notification to participate in the selection of the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival 2014/2015 and relevant Regulations Considering that The Fondazione Campania dei Festival, a regional operative body dependent economically and functionally on the constituent Campania Regional Authority, established the E45 Fringe Festival in 2009 and held the first official edition in 2010. The Fondazione is the proprietor of the E45 Fringe Festival brand and intends to develop this by consolidating its presence in various events held autonomously and/or in parallel to the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia. The Festival is inspired by the current international model, starting with the first Fringe Festival born in Edinburgh in 1947. From 2012, E45 Napoli Fringe Festival has become a two-year event articulated over two different phases: the first year is dedicated exclusively to the selection process which takes place during the month of November; the second year is dedicated to the presentation of the selected works to the public within the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival. Therefore, the selection of the companies which will be featured in the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival will take place during November 2014. Considering the above premise, the Fondazione communicates the following: The selection procedures will take place on the 19, 20 and 21 st November in the Teatro Ridotto del Teatro Mercadante. The Fondazione Campania dei Festival requests international and national professional companies, (formally constituted as a cultural association and/or company and able to provide regular ENPALS or equivalent permits) to present projects involving dance, theatre, performing arts; these proposals should be programmed for nonconventional theatre venues such as those used by the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia in previous editions of the Festival and indicated in the enclosure to the present notification. SELECTION The companies intending to participate must send their performance project by and not after the 15 October 2014 which must be accompanied by one or more video link to previous works completed by the Company. A group of professionals from the Fondazione Campania dei Festival Organisational and Communication staff will undertake the first selection of projects, identifying a maximum number of 90; the companies selected will be informed of such via post by and not after the 30 October 2014. The selected companies will be invited to present a 10 minute version of their proposal (between the 19 21 st November) in the Sala Ridotto del Teatro Mercadante; technical staff (stagehand, electrician/sound engineer) will be available and the venue will be equipped with standard basic technical equipment. All costs pertaining to the journey to Naples and/or board and lodging during the selection period will be met by each Company. During the selection period, each Company will be able to promote their work by consigning informative and promotional materials to the Commission. METHOD OF PRESENTATION OF THE APPLICATION The projects must be sent via e-mail to the following address: E45festival@napoliteatrofestival.it with the following object selection of applications E45 and accompanied by the following documents: Enclosure A: Presentation of the artistic project accompanied with one or more video-links to previous works; Enclosure B: a declaration accepting all requisites and the regulations pertaining to the Festival, as well as a curriculum of the company and all its individual members.
THE COMMISSION The selected theatrical projects will be represented first of all by a commission selected by the Fondazione and composed of 10 members which will include theatre specialists such as critics, and international/national theatre festival directors. After viewing the projects in the period 19, 20 and 21 November, the Commission in collaboration with the Organisational and Communication offices of the Fondazione Campania dei Festival will meet on the 22 November to draw up a shortlist of 30 projects which will receive a contribution of 5.000,00 (five thousand/00 Euros) for the production of the performance to be presented in absolute première during the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival 2015. One of the performances will also be selected by the Artistic Director of the Festival Benevento Città Spettacolo for a contribution of 10,000.00 (ten thousand/00 Euros) to participate in the 2015 Edition of the Benevento Città Spettacolo. All contributions as previously indicated will be allocated on the presentation of a provisional budget and a statement of costs incurred. REGULATIONS OF THE E45 NAPOLI FRINGE FESTIVAL 2015 1. The Fondazione Campania dei Festival will guarantee to communicate and promote the entire programme and integrate these activities for the individual companies in its overall programme. 2. The Fondazione Campania dei Festival will manage all matters pertaining to the ticketing of the venues involved in the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival, and will devolve all sums to the various companies after deducting the obligatory payments to the SIAE (Italian Copyright Collection Agency). 3. The Fondazione Campania dei Festival will allocate the various companies the spaces indicated in Enclosure 1 which will be available according to the calendar of events. It is hereby communicated that the venues identified in the initial project presentations may be changed by the Fondazione when preparing the 2015 programme of performances. 4. The Company will have the technical assistance of a stagehand and an electrician in the venue which will also be equipped with basic sound and lighting equipment. All other requirements for personnel and/or equipment over and above those supplied by the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival will be met by the company. 5. The spaces allocated to each company will be made available as indicated in the calendar prepared by the Organisational Office of the Fondazione Campania dei Festival after completion of the selection process. 6. All costs pertaining to the journey to Naples and board and lodging during the selection period will be covered by each company. 7. All companies selected hereby undertake to reserve the exclusive debut performance for the 2015 Edition of the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival, except for any variations which may be indicated in the present Notification.

ENCLOSURE B Declaration accepting the regulations of the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival 2014/2015. The Company. hereby presents the project, to be considered for inclusion in the next edition of the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival. We enclose the following documents, as requested in the Notification. We also declare the following: to be a regularly constituted professional company (cultural association and/or company) and that relevant ENPALS certification (or equivalent permits) and permits can also be produced; to be able to produce all documentation regarding authorisation by the SIAE (Italian Copyright Collection Agency) when requested; to undertake to manage autonomously all activities in the theatre venues made available by the Foundation; We also declare to be aware of the following regulations and abide by the same: The theatre venues available for the presentation will be provided with basic technical equipment and personnel (one stagehand, one electrician/sound engineer); All costs incurred in the selection process will be entirely payable by the Company; In the event of being shortlisted, the Company undertakes not to present the performance, even as a studio presentation, before the debut during the 2015 Edition of the E45 Napoli Fringe Festival with the penalty of being excluded from the event; The decision of the Commission is final and binding; The allocation of the sums awarded for the production costs is subject to the issue by the Direzione Generale per le Politiche Sociali, Politiche Culturali, Pari Opportunità e Tempo Libero of the Campania Regional Executive of the necessary decrees regarding the financing of the Obiettivo Operativo 1.10 del POR FESR 2007/2013 La cultura come risorsa and to implement the reprogrammed PAC III.
