L ÉCOLE VAN CLEEF & ARPELS Since 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has been dedicated to the art of jewelry and watchmaking. Unrivaled in its field, it is constantly innovating, sharing its knowledge and art with customers and the general public at prestigious museum exhibitions. In 2012, Van Cleef & Arpels took the spirit of sharing one step further with another innovation: L ECOLE Van Cleef & Arpels. Rather than limiting itself to the Maison, L Ecole raises the veil on the highly secretive world of jewelry and watchmaking. L Ecole offers classes in savoir-faire, gemology and the history of the art of jewelry to the general public, with no distinction as to age and culture. Students can attend one class or several; no previous knowledge is required. Just as with a course in oenology, your classes will transform you into enlightened amateurs: you will develop an understanding of the art of jewelry and hone your appreciation of jewels, precious stones and watchmaking. The classes all of which are given by experts in their fields are designed to be enriching and interactive, with a strong hands-on component. 3
THE CLASSES L Ecole offers classes in: Savoir-Faire History of the Art of Jewelry Gemology Classes are held in French and English (others languages are available on request) and last from 2 to 4 hours. 4
