Focusing on designing and developing different product categories for established brands, you ll discover jobs that you didn t even know existed such as trend forecaster, technical designer, stylist, product developer, brand manager, and more. This program allows you to experience the different stages of the design process, and walks you through the full conceptto-consumer product development cycle. Through a series of hands-on projects and workshops, you ll explore your creativity and discover career options that align with your passions. Learning Outcomes Understand how to design for a specific target customer and established brand. Gain insight on the production lifecycle and stages of the design process. Learn the design principles and elements used to develop a cohesive and compelling fashion collection. Learn to spot, track, and pace the movement of a fashion trend through the Fashion Cycle. Practice flat sketching and how to visually communicate your ideas with two-dimensional designs. Analyze and apply trends in color, fabric, and style for design development. You ll learn how to conceptualize ideas through fashion sketching, creative design, draping, pattern drafting, and fabric. Whether you want to design for an existing company or create your own collection, you ll learn the skills designers use to develop innovative and original designs.
