NEXSYS SHOWER SOLUTION CONCEPT STUDY PROGRESS IN ITS MOST VISIONARY FORM. To describe our new floor-level shower surface as a small revolution would be an understatement. Because NEXSYS is a concept study that reveals nothing less than the future of the shower surface. Visionary in its concept, optimal in its functionality and minimalist in design. There is no quicker and easier way to fit a floor-level shower surface because NEXSYS is not simply a shower surface but rather a complete, installationready system. EASY FLAT FLEXIBLE

10/11 SHOWER SURFACES THE SYSTEM SOLUTION The fully pre-assembled system is at the heart of the concept study. The components are already connected as part of the 4-in-1 system and can be installed immediately. Depending on the design and installation conditions, the NEXSYS can be combined with different design panels and waste fittings. 2 4 3 1 NEXSYS THE ASSEMBLY The system consists of a flat shower surface made of KALDEWEI steel enamel, waste channel, sealing for all of the important installation options, and a support element. The support element with integrated slope ensures optimal and safe water run-off without the need to make an elaborate sloping screed. A NEW DIMENSION OF FLEXIBILITY NEXSYS enables complete flexibility for bathroom planning. It has been produced in such a way with up to 200 dimensions that a hitherto unachieved diversity of sizes is possible. NEXSYS can thus be used in any bathroom, be it a new-build or a refurbishment. Thanks to 19 different dimensions, its waste outlet at the side and the ultraflat tray support for the easiest possible assembly, the CAYONOPLAN is the ideal solution. The ESR FLOOR-LEVEL FRAME INSTALLATION SYSTEM continues KALDEWEI s tradition of creating groundbreaking system solutions, but as an improvement on its predecessors it allows for even simpler, faster installation. For instance, its superior 3D leg system can now be fine-tuned from above. FR 5300 FLEX/FLEX PLUS LEG FRAME FOR PERFECT SHOWERING PLEASURE: THE PERFECTED SHOWER SURFACE INSTALLATION. Our leg frames have always allowed for clean, precise work. Nonetheless we have continued to optimise them, focusing on simplified installation so that now, for instance, the height can be adjusted from above. Size markings on the frame do away with the time- consuming measurement of shower and aluminium profiles. Two models of these optimised leg frames are available: the FR 5300 FLEX and the FR 5300 FLEX PLUS with additional kit. IMPROVED IN THE DETAIL The size markings on the aluminium profile make it easier to cut the leg frame to the desired size.

18/19 SHOWER SURFACES FLEX COMES FROM FLEXIBLE The leg frame can be used for various installation situations: floor-level, on top of floor tiles or for installation on a pedestal. The 3D leg system can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically, allowing for flexible height adjustment from 63 to 164mm. And a separate foot kit can be added on with ease for special heights of 164mm to 250mm. IT S ALL INCLUDED Rubber profiles and sound-insulated feet help to insulate against noise. SEALING MEET NORMS, EXCEED EXPECTATIONS: WITH OUR SEALING SOLUTIONS. Securing the bathroom against water penetration is becoming ever more important. Since KALDEWEI steel enamel surfaces are seamless, they provide optimum protection. The newly-developed KALDEWEI sealing kits now enable easy and secure integration into the bathroom s composite sealing. The result is two innovative sealing kits that can be integrated securely and flexibly into numerous installation situations. IMPERMEABILITY CERTIFIED The new KALDEWEI sealing kits have undergone the most stringent testing. Test institutes such as the independent SFV confirm that KALDEWEI sealing solutions are absolutely impermeable which means they are well prepared for new standards related to sealing. BATHROOMS ARE GOING TO BE MORE IMAGINATIVE. WERNER AISSLINGER is a multi award-winning designer. His July Chair is on show at the MoMA, while his Studio Aisslinger has offices in both Berlin and Singapore. Moreover, his design office s works are currently the subject of an entire museum exhibition: Werner Aisslinger and his team are showing their creations including a KALDEWEI bathtub at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich under the title House of Wonders. MR. AISSLINGER, TOGETHER WITH TINA BUNYAPRASIT, YOU HAVE JUST DESIGNED YOUR FIRST BATHROOM COLLECTION FOR KALDEWEI. DO YOU ENJOY WORKING IN UNFAMILIAR TERRITORY? W. Aisslinger: Our design office is at home in many different worlds. We are accustomed to constantly feeling our way creatively into new contexts and because we handle a great many major interior design projects such as hotels, malls or cruise ships, designing bathrooms is a familiar area for us. WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT DESIGNING BATHROOM OBJECTS? W. Aisslinger: Bathrooms are currently undergoing a rapid evolution and, apart from the fact that for some time they have been getting bigger, more homely and more wellness-oriented, in future they will also be the only places in the home where daily rituals are more important than the increasingly omnipresent digital world which is gaining a foothold in every area of life. For designers this means creating a place of wellbeing that will become increasingly more colourful, material-oriented, more unconventional and more imaginative. WHAT WAS THE GREATEST CHALLENGE IN DESIGNING THE OBJECTS? W. Aisslinger: Taking another step forward with KALDEWEI and being the first manufacturer to test rimless design with regard to steel enamel. Then there was the question of how the pure, single-shell bathtubs could be interpreted within the given space in a completely new way and integrated into different architectures. The result was TRICOLORE and GRID, whose concepts offer a new connection with the surrounding architecture and allow bathtub and washbasin, like freestanding pieces of furniture, to assume sculptural yet functional structures.

TRICOLORE/GRID CONCEPT STUDIES POETIC AND IMAGINATIVE. LIKE THE BATHROOM OF THE FUTURE. DESIGN Werner Aisslinger & Tina Bunyaprasit. The hallmark of the GRID concept is the way surfaces and volumes are dissolved in favour of an open framework structure. The single-walled and thus weightless-looking washbasin and bathtub seem to float and are visible as outlines. The grid structure contains not only the washbasin and bathtub but can also integrate products and accessories or plants that can be inserted into it, collage-style.

24/25 STUDIO AISSLINGER DESIGN Werner Aisslinger & Tina Bunyaprasit. TRICOLORE explores no fewer than two new themes. On the one hand, the mainly monochrome white bathroom world is completely revolutionised through the addition of colour. On the other hand, the bathtub puts an entirely new interpretation on the historical archetype of the freestanding lion claw tub. Think collage! The bathtub is enamelled in two colours; the third colour comes from the frame whose wraparound band appears to have been cut out of a different bathtub.

MIENA AVANTGARDE CONSUMMATE TECHNOLOGY TOO: DELICATE SHAPES MADE OF TIMELESS STEEL ENAMEL. For decades we have driven our artistry in working with steel enamel to ever new heights. Because this is the only way in which outstanding bathroom solutions can be achieved: by completely rethinking, by working in entirely different ways, by taking different paths. In order to produce the uniquely delicate appearance of the MIENA washbasin bowls we overcame technical constraints and made single-wall KALDEWEI steel enamel for the first time. This allows us to open up a new product world, for ourselves and for you, consisting of delicate, almost fragile objects in an indestructible material whose minimalist design enriches virtually every KALDEWEI product line.

MIENA AVANTGARDE MIENA ROUND The round bowls of the MIENA line appear delicate, almost fragile. The contours run in a single gentle and harmonious curve towards the waste outlet. The resulting reduced footprint gives the bowls an even more weightless look. You almost get the sense that they are floating on the given undercounter.

32/33 WASHBASINS MIENA ANGULAR The angular MIENA bowls are just as delicate but with a far more masculine look. Comparatively small radii, the only partially rounded contours and the square waste cover accentuate this effect and extend the spectrum of the bowl family in the most elegant way.
