Ireland s largest men s brand, Best Menswear, opted for Karndean Opus stone and Knight Tile as part of the remodelling of several of their stores, revealing a fresh, striking floor design that befits an outlet providing high quality international brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, and Lacoste. Co-designed by Store Design and Best Menswear s in house team, the sophisticated, masculine space reflects their strong heritage and expertise in formal menswear and is sure to provide the smooth shopping experience their clientele expect. Kate Rooney, head of retail at Best Menswear, wanted to create a contemporary look with subtle details that would set them apart from other menswear environments, and the resulting contrasting theme has captured shoppers attention for the right reasons. As establishing a workable yet premium experience was important, Opus Mico and Knight Tile Aged Oak form the ideal contrasting combination to create a modern, subtle design with an edge, offering Mico s popular pale poured concrete look with hints of marbled pattern alongside the rich chocolate tones of the highly realistic aged oak wood effect. We get around 4,000 customers a week browsing our exclusive fashion brands, so the wear layer was important but not a top priority for us, explains Kate. She said: We ve noticed, how quiet and pleasant the floor is underfoot and the sound of heels is considerably muffled. The customer experience is top priority at Best Menswear and we believe it has been elevated with the new shop fit; the installation was seamless and professional from start to finish and the results are just as impressive. Incorporating the idea that the shopping experience should be as smart and sleek as the clothes, Store Design and Best Menswear finished the renovation with merchandising stands in dark truffle timber and umbra grey metal work, as well as LED lighting to really show off the displays. With three stores completed to date in Swords Pavilions, Blanchards Town Shopping Centre and Stillorgan Shopping Centre, Best Menswear plan to roll out the new look throughout ten of its stores across Ireland.
