Your COINWATCH timepiece is assembled with only the finest quality components, ensuring you have many years of enjoyment. Genuine Coins Pre-decimal coins from 1910 to 1963 in your coinwatch show the Australian Coat of Arms together with minting year. Our kangaroo and emu were chosen because neither can walk backward representing the slogan, Advance Australia. Commemorative Medallions Australian government approval has allowed COINWATCH to mint a Commemorative Medallion with a Coat of Arms design resembling the florin and sixpence coins. Your choice of year is engraved onto the medallion. Commemorative medallions replace sixpence coins in 1913, 1915, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1937, 1947, 1949 and from 1964 on to the present year. Florin coins are replaced by a medallion in 1929, 1930, 1932, 1937, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1955 and 1964 through to the present year. * Commemorative dials will be used if your chosen genuine coin is not available.
