Presentation The 4th edition of the Brixen Workshop & Summer School on International Trade and Finance will be held in Bressanone/Brixen from September 15 to September 21, 2013. The Summer School will consist of a set of lectures on Globalization and Inequality by eminent scholars in this field while the Workshop will be devoted to the presentation and discussion of working papers presented by selected participants. The general aims of the Brixen Workshop & Summer School are: - to provide advanced training in international economics and international political economy for PhD students, postgraduate students and young economists from all countries; - to broaden the horizons of young scholars on the relevance of the economics of international trade and finance for understanding the problems and opportunities associated with current trends in the world economy and with the advancement of global economic integration; - to allow young economists to meet fellows from different countries with a common interest in the theoretical and political problems of the world economy. The official language of the Brixen Workshop & Summer School is English. All applications must be submitted by July 5, 2013. Acceptance will be notified by July 8, 2013. Early applications are welcome. A restricted number of applicants will be selected as speakers in the Workshop sessions. Applicants who intend to present a working paper in one of the Workshop sessions should also submit a draft of the paper or an abstract. Tuition and Accommodation fees The Brixen Workshop & Summer School is funded partly by sponsors and partly by tuition fees. The 2013 tuition fee is 200. Full accommodation is provided by the Accademia Cusano/Cusanus Akademie, Piazza Seminario 2, Bressanone/Brixen (http://www.cusanus.bz.it). The full accommodation fee is 300. The fee includes the Welcome dinner of September 15 and the Farewell dinner of September 20 at the Hotel Grunerbaum, the overnight stay of September 20 and the breakfast of September 21. The fee payment of 500 has to be made by July 29, 2013. An email with an enclosed copy of the payment receipt must be sent to segreteriafondazionemasi@ice.it. After July 29, students who will have failed to notify the payment will be replaced by applicants in the waiting list..
