Charles Ross Fine Art Auctioneers Ltd Catalogue 15 Nov 2014 1 A circa 1930's Melba part-tea service, briefly comprising six cups, nine saucers, nine tea plates, two cake plates, cream and sugar, each polychrome enamel decorated in the Oriental manner with a figure beneath a flowering pagoda, together with an Edwardian Beswick & Son parttea service, decorated with swags of pink roses in the Imari palette. 2 Six pieces of Mabel Leigh Shorter & Son Pottery, including a near pair of vases, jardiniere, loop handled pot and angular handled jug, together with a Greek tourist ware vase hand decorated with pink roses on an ivory and gilded ground. 3 A late Victorian/Edwardian ironstone dinner service, Derby Japan pattern, largely a twelve place setting, each decorated with flowers and foliage in the Imari palette. 4 A Gouda earthenware bowl, decorated with abstract butterfly forms in mustard and turquoise on a mauve ground, a pair of Sylvac Mop & Brush pots, a Maling vase decorated with a pink rose in shallow relief, an Austrian Amphora vase of baluster form, a Ramsey Wilton fruit bowl, decorated with autumn leaves and a Shorter & Son Medina bowl. 5 An Edwardian Palissy part-tea service, comprising six cups, six saucers and tea plates, teapot, cream, sugar and cake plate, each decorated in the Imari palette with repeating geometric bands. 6 A set of four Polish cut crystal lidded jars, together with a conforming hors d'oeuvre's dish and four Royal Doulton crystal scent bottles (all boxed). 7 A Tuscan part-tea service, comprising six cups, eight saucers, six tea places and cake plate, each polychrome enamel decorated with a flowering tree, together with a Crown Staffordshire part-tea service, an Edwardian part-tea service, transfer decorated with floral swags and other similar items. 8 A Shelley blancmange mould, together with five others, various. 9 A Shelley teapot, fashioned as a pixies house after Mabel Lucie Attwell, together with various decorative ceramics, including a Belleek tea cup and saucer, a Beswick group of two kittens no. 1316, a Poole butter dish and cover, an Edwardian Jackson Brothers pot stand, transfer decorated with Britannia etc. 10 Six Bisto Kompart tea cups and plates, each transfer decorated with a pink rose, together with four Imperial china trios, each decorated with reserves of pink roses and other flowers on a lemon and gilt ground. 11 An Edwardian opaque glass covered vase, hand decorated with finches, together with a Doulton Lambeth Silicon jardiniere, an Edwardian hexagonal teapot and stand, decorated in 1 underglaze blue in the Oriental manner, a Cornishware teapot with green shield mark and other decorative items. 12 A small mixed lot of Royal Doulton Bunnykins and other similar ceramics, including warming plate, mug, baby's plate and two 21.5cm diameter plates, each transfer decorated after Barbara Vernon. 13 An early/mid-20th century teapot, lidded sugar and cream, each simply decorated with a green band on an ivory ground, the base marked Made In Occupied Japan, together with a reproduction teapot and five tea bowls, each transfer decorated with an Oriental pheasant in a landscape and a set of four Arklow pottery coffee cans and saucers, each busily floral transfer decorated. 14 A Wedgwood Town Crier character jug, together with another Wedgwood jug, fashioned as a tailor, a Melba Ware jug, modelled as Shylock, a Dartmouth Devon pottery toucan jug and other similar items. 15 A Royal Doulton Larchmont dinner service, an eight place setting, comprising dinner and side plates, pudding bowls, oval meat dish and a pair of covered vegetable tureens. 16 An Edwardian toilet jug and chamber pot, each hand decorated with ox-eye daisies, together with conforming basin and a jug and basin transfer decorated with figure before a pagoda beneath hawthorn blossom in the Oriental manner. 17 Four Wade spirit flasks, together with various other breweriana, including a James Green & Nephew, Johnnie Walker water jug, six ashtrays and other similar items. 18 A Royal Doulton figure, Autumn Breezes, HN4716, together with another, Ninette, HN2379. 19 Two Royal Doulton Flambe vases, one of ovoid form, the other of bottle shape, each typically glazed, 17cm. 20 Two Goebel figures, each modelled as a 1950's lady with attendant dog, 20cm. 21 A Frederick Rhead Burleigh Ware footed bowl, internally decorated with bold floral forms in orange, green, blue, red and brown on an olive green ground, printed and signature mark to base, 19cm diameter. 22 A pair of Victorian earthenware covered cups, each decorated in the Oriental manner with flowers and pagoda in a landscape on a celedon-type ground.
