The Origin The Mechanisme of Action How does SYN -AKE works in the skin? The LIFTOX s main active compound is the SYN -AKE. It s based on a synthetic tripeptide that mimics the effect of Waglerin-1, a peptide that is found in the venom of the Temple Viper, Tropidolaemus wagleri. The SYN -AKE is an antagonist of the muscular nicotinic acetylcholine membrane s receptor. It prevents the fixation of acetylcholine, a contraction messenger. Consequently, SYN -AKE has the property of blocking neuromuscular contractions and particularly the facial contractions. Its action is reversible.
