Thor Christmas List I understand that I am hard to buy for. Here s a Christmas List. I m putting it on dropbox so that everyone can see it. If you have bought something, change its font somehow: italicize it or change its color or change its font. Or put a note on it in a different font. That way, others will know not to buy it. I won t read this once I make it. (I may add to the end of it). The list is not ordered by preference. Please read it all there is some good stuff toward the end. Socks: I like funky socks. They are everywhere. I like men s socks that are thin, not thick and warm. Most have a black background, but that is not a requirement (I d prefer not a white background though.) I also would prefer not boring stripes or argyle. For example, these are at Macys.com, and they would fit the bill:
J Crew has a ton of socks that would work. For example, some lighting bolts oooooh!: or dogs: Express.com has some good patterns: Hell, just google patterned mens socks. They sky s the limit on socks. T- Shirts I wear XL, short sleeve and like them to have some personal meaning: beer, location I ve been, sports team. I don t like black or white or gym- shirt grey. I prefer muted colors to bright ones, but that s just a preference and not a requirement. Colleges: I don t have a good Yale T- Shirt, and my Ferrum T- Shirt is dying. Beers: I d love a t- shirt from Thomas Creek, but I haven t looked into it. Dogfish s t- shirts tend to be super- thin, which is bad. I d steer clear. Knoxville Sawworks has some good ones Bearden Beer Market or Casual Pint are places I like. Although Lagunitas is from California, I like their beers. Bourbons: Maker s Mark, Knob Creek, Woodford Reserve Sports teams:
Rugby: Super- 15 Stormers, Sharks or Bulls. No real preference between them. Rugby: South Africa Springboks. Football: Philadelphia eagles, although I m not hugely passionate. I would like another jersey for football Sundays at the sports bar Carmichael or Cunningham Eagles jerseys would be the best. You can go cheap on ebay I don t care about authenticity. Tennis: Western & Southern open. Pretty cheap ones available at http://www.midwestsports.com/western- and- southern- tournament- apparel/c/501653/ Golf: RBC Heritage tournament (http://seapines.gostorego.com/rbc- heritage- merchandise.html) Golf: The Masters, of course Golf: Wells- Fargo championship Locales: Maui, Hilton Head, Rio de Janeiro, Aspen, Napa, Capri, Sorrento, Corfu(!), Santorini, Rehoboth, Virginia Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Marco Island, you get the drift. Iphone stuff I have a 4- S. I could use another charging cable or two, and I could use another case, as I seem to take about 9 months to break a case. I don t need another car charger. Food I don t really want food it seems as though when I get food gifts, they go into the pantry for a few years until we throw them away. Sorry. I don t want cookbooks either. I don t have time to read them. Booze on the other hand does get consumed. Beer (IPA) and bourbon/gin work. Plus, I would like this garlic press, please: http://www.myboelter.com/firm- grip- garlic- press.html Music & Videos I assume someone is getting us seasons 4-6 of Big Bang Theory. Check with Jeff. Those are the the only seasons we need. We don t watch movies. Also, I m too hard to buy music for. See Gift Cards below. We re planning to go to the Knoxville Symphony concert on April 24. I would love to open tickets to that concert as Christmas presents. http://www.knoxvillesymphony.com/events/concert- series/masterworks- series/ - - Orchestra 1/Balcony or better please (You may even want to check with Arlene Goldstein she may have tickets to unload). Books I don t read, in general, but I would enjoy a good book on portrait photography:
