MEET HARBIR Dr. Harbir Sian (centre) is an award-winning optometrist based in Vancouver, BC. Born in London and raised in Vancouver, Harbir completed his Doctor of Optometry training in Boston, MA. During the process, he also gained valuable clinical experience working in clinics in Miami, FL, Portland, OR, and Vancouver. Throughout his career Harbir has had the opportunity to participate in multiple volunteer clinics where the objective was to provide services to those who did not have access or resources to obtain eye care. Recently, this included a trip to an underdeveloped region of South America where the volunteer team provided full eye exams and glasses to over 2000 people in a coastal town in Colombia. Harbir is truly passionate about his profession and providing the absolute best care and service to his patients. In 2016, he was named Young Optometrist of the Year by the BC Doctors of Optometry. Using his passion for vision care and desire to give back to those in need, Harbir created Kingsley Eyewear. Each Kingsley frame is handmade using Italian acetate with lenses carefully selected to maximize visual quality and comfort. Every Kingsley frame sold equals a full eye exam and a pair of glasses for a person in need via a collaboration with a wonderful organization called Optometry Giving Sight. The final ingredient to Kingsley Eyewear is the inspiration gained by traveling to different parts of the world. Each frame is named after a place in the world that Harbir has travelled to or lived in. Kingsley is inspired by the world.
