SUPPLIER OVERVIEW Clad Safety is a family run SME established for years in the protective clothing market. We are centrally located close to the motorway networks and deliver from stock next day throughout the UK. Our purpose built offices and warehouse which were opened in 011 have been designed to meet a high BREEAM standard with very low energy usage and are easily accessible by public transport. The site is adjacent to the River Nidd and special care has been taken to preserve the ecological features and wildlife corridor. Clad Safety work closely with specialist manufacturers around the world to develop footwear to the highest levels of comfort and protection. Major investment into design of Composite (non metallic) toe caps and mid sole protection has resulted in the innovative Light Year range which is exceptionally light weight and flexible providing greater levels of comfort and safety. Where possible Clad Safety aim to provide a stock solution to cover all wearer needs. However we can source specially made footwear from a European factory to meet the challenges of problem feet such as odd sizes, extra wide, fallen arches, built up soles, diabetic etc. Specially made footwear carries a cost premium and requires carefully measuring using a foam mould to ensure the perfect size and shape is manufactured. This service is quoted on an ad-hoc basis. Please enquire for further details. Clad Safety strive for sustainable solutions to everything we do. Much of the footwear we supply is manufactured outside the UK and therefore transport and packaging are key issues for us in creating a sustainable supply chain. INNOVATIVE MATERIALS Composite (plastic) Toe Cap Safety footwear from Clad Safety provides exactly the same toe protection as Steel Toe Cap. This is measured as 00Joules impact protection and conforms to European Standard EN0345. Composite Toe Caps are lighter, wider fitting and provide better thermal insulation that Steel so the toe area does not feel as cold in winter. To further reduce weight and increase flexibility Clad Safety incorporate a non-metallic mid sole in the Composite Toe Cap styles. This mid sole is manufactured from a tightly woven multi-layer Kevlar material which resists the penetration of a sharp object through the sole such as a nail of broken glass. The benefit of a non metallic mid sole is the increased flexibility and reduced weight. Comfortable Footwear for any operational climate GORE-TEX Footwear keeps feet dry and protected by being durably waterproof and breathable and is an engineered system which provides optimised climate comfort. All components, including the shoe construction are geared towards maximum performance and subjected to regular quality inspections. Different climate conditions, changing operational requirements and work levels demand a diversified product portfolio. Footwear with optimal thermal and moisture regulation characteristics can make a significant contribution by helping to regulate and stabilise the wearer s body temperature. The GORE-TEX Laminates are highly effective, as they are waterproof, breathable, and allow the feet to dry quickly by transporting moisture from inside the shoe to the outside air. Since the GORE-TEX Membrane is completely waterproof, it prevents water from penetrating the shoe, when working in wet outdoor or indoor environments. At the same time though, it is permeable to water vapour, so the moisture resulting from perspiration. As our footwear is crafted from unique laminates that not only provide optimum insulation against cold, but are also waterproof and breathable, it offers maximum protection against the effects of cold and heat, as well as against moisture from the outside and condensation or perspiration inside the shoe. RETURNS POLICY Incorrect items ordered To reduce our carbon footprint and costs, please enquire if the item can be used by anyone else before returning to Clad Safety. Complete the Returns Form on Easinet page http://intranet.ea.gov/static/documents/policy/returnsform.pdf and e-mail to returns@cladsafety.co.uk.you will be sent a reply with the official returns paperwork attached, normally within 4 hours. A copy of the paperwork should be returned with the goods. It is your responsibility to ensure goods are returned in their original packaging and suitably packed for transit. Any items returned must be unused and in resalable condition. You will need to raise a new order for a replacement item and a credit note will be issued for the returned goods when Clad Safety receives them back. The return of specially ordered items will be by agreement only and will need to be discussed with Clad Safety Customer Services prior to return. Quality issues In the unlikely event you have a complaint regarding the quality of any item purchased from Clad Safety, please contact Kim Preston to discuss the issue.
