SHOP 2017 prints on beach objects presented at Open Studio Academy Awards Viafarini, 2017, curated by Viafarini, Fabbrica del Vapore, Milano The project shop was born from the pages of Guide to Nature of Sardinia, by F. Pratesi and F. Tassi, published by Mondadori in 73. The intervention made on the book is to take photographs and texts from the book and bring them in another context.the new framework of these images are some objects that are familiar to the inhabitants and tourists of the island: beach chairs, umbrellas and everything about the common imaginary of holiday.the intention is to (re)cognize the geography of the island, through the everyday objects. The ambiguity between functional object / art-work and design / art is exasperated by the title of the project shop, where the prices of the objects/art-works are clearly visible into the exhibition context as well as the website of the artist, similar to the online purchase mode.
