On a windy autumn day we set off for the Vilhelm Lauritzen Air Terminal ready to fly away. The terminal represents the very first Copenhagen Airport, and is now a listed state building. The building was designed by the Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen and is a beautiful example of modern and functional architecture, the perfect setting for staging the autumn collection 2019. This collection is about modernity and functionality, spiced with captive autumn colours that are founded in two overriding themes: burnt, warm red tones with references to soil and earth, and bluish, colder tones, representing the sky and stormy weather. The colour story indicates a perfect transition for a collection that heads off in July and continues into September, when autumn emerges. The collection nods to the classic 70s heritage tailoring, especially in the choice of materials and prints, where corduroy and checks play a central role. The decade is defined by a desire for freedom, and we have interpreted this time-honoured style in a modern way - daring to be feminine and daring to be strong. So just dare and fly away
