The Tucson Ladies Council presents the Fashion Show: Cotton Club Turn back the clock to the golden age of jazz as the Tucson Ladies Council presents the seventh annual The Fashion Show, Sept. 10 at the Pavilion at The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa. The evening will include silent and live auctions and dinner. The highlight will be a professional runway fashion show with contemporary and designer fashions from Tucson boutiques, as well as couture vintage and designer collections from New York and Los Angeles. Featured will be a collection from Carolina Herrera; new designer Carrie Parry, who creates clothing from sustainable sources, and Morton Myles, who is best known for creating the robin s-egg blue dress that Jackie Kennedy wore on the cover of Look in 1961. Among the many special moments of the show will be a children s runway walk, featuring kids in programs run by Tu Nidito Children and Family Services, which is the beneficiary of The Fashion Show. Tu Nidito provides comfort, hope and support for children and families whose lives have been impacted by a serious medical condition or death. Each year, the agency provides services to more than 800 children. An after-hour party will take place in the Azul Lounge, with live entertainment and reverse happy hour specials.
