MAKING HISTORY, THE ROLLING STONES HAVE UNLOCKED THEIR VAST PRIVATE ARCHIVE TO CREATE. Unlocking their vast archive for the first time in history, this spectactular exhibit is a Rolling Stones treasure trove, curated over nine thematic gallery spaces. Exhibitionism is an immersive, interactive music experience, showcasing 500 items from original stage costumes, rare instruments and lyric books, backstage and touring paraphernalia, album art, photography, stage designs, personal diaries, and never before released audio and behind-the-scenes footage. Celebrating the Stones artistic collaborations and influence on music, recording, art and design, fashion and film, Exhibitionism features original works on display from an array of artists as diverse as Andy Warhol, Alexander McQueen, Prada, Dior, Ossie Clark, L Wren Scott, Robert Frank, David Bailey, Jeff Koons, Walton Ford, Shepard Fairey, Jean-Luc Godard and Martin Scorsese, to name a few. Exhibitionism is the largest touring exhibition of its kind ever to be staged at nearly 18,000 square feet. Highlights include a recreation of the bands recording studio complete with original instruments and interactive mixing desks, an immersive realistic reconstruction of Edith Grove, their first shared flat in London, and culminates in a mind-blowing backstage and 3D concert experience.

LADIES & GENTLEMEN Introducing The Rolling Stones FILM & VIDEO RECORDING EDITH GROVE LADIES & GENTLEMEN GALLERY 1 This cherry red hypnotic room traces the band s enormous impact on global touring and their vast artistic output in this introductory Gallery. GALLERY 2 A spectacular visual display over 50 enormous curved screens visitors are immersed in a fast paced film depicting the band s epic 50 year and counting career.
EDITH GROVE The Early Years FILM & VIDEO RECORDING EDITH GROVE This special Gallery, set in early 1960 s London is affectionately named after the band s first flat, Edith Grove. While no photographs exist of Edith Grove s interior, this gallery unveils an eerily realistic recreation of life together based on Keith, Charlie and Mick s memories. Upon leaving the flat, visitors encounter the moment the band began touring the UK, and their fan base surged to new heights. Through photographs, early instruments Bill s first amp, Keith s early guitars, Charlie s first drum kit video and ephemera, visitors see, hear and feel the early years of the band as they hit stardom.
RECORDING Sessions & Songwriting FILM & VIDEO RECORDING A hugely interactive and immersive experience, the Recording Gallery explores the art of The Rolling Stones songs and recording sessions. The band s original instruments populate a recreation of their typical recording studio. Bobby Keys sax and Ian Stewart s piano along with instruments from Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie are amongst over 75 items in this gallery. A stunning instrument gallery of original guitars, harmonicas and lyric books, along with touch screen interactive technology and AV displays propel this incredible Gallery to life. Recording s always experimentation, that s what I love about it. It s that interaction in the studio with the guys the band, producers, engineers saying, What do you mean you can t do that? Come on. Let s figure a way of doing it. That s the fun of recording for me: trying to find the sound that you re hearing in your head, until it matches or you get as close as you can to it. KEITH
FILM & VIDEO Stones on Screen FILM & VIDEO Recognising that stage performances are ephemeral, but films are forever, The Rolling Stones have documented many of their live shows on film. In this Gallery Martin Scorsese narrates a tour through some of the most memorable film moments. Also in this gallery are highlights from over 30 promotional videos the band has made during their career including videos by David Fincher, Peter Whitehead, Julien Temple and Michael Lindsay-Hogg.
Visual Artistry Incredibly rich, this Gallery features over 190 famous and original designs and artworks, stage and set designs, album covers and tour posters. Featured works by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Walton Ford, Shepard Fairey, John Pasche, Robert Frank, Mark Fisher, original stage designs and models, tour posters and album art. Famous photographer works by David Bailey, Michael Cooper, Gered Markowitz and more. This highly visual Gallery also displays the evolution of the famous tongue and lips logo, with a show-stopping sculpture, projection mapped by state of the art technology. Album covers were very important. If you had some pretensions artistically or you were trying to project yourself in some particular way, you wanted to choose your own design team. So every time there was an album cover, you had to think, how are we going to do this? What does it mean for us? What does this record mean? We always tried to get somebody really good. MICK
Kings Road, Glam, Spectacle Hand-picked by the band members, this Gallery features 70 original outfits, contextualised and brought to life through creative audio-visual treatments. Showcasing the stylistic progression and fashion influence of the band and the longstanding impression it s made on style and culture to date, culminating in a show-stopping Sympathy for the Devil moment. Original costumes from an array of designers Alexander McQueen, Prada, JP Gaultier, Dior, Ossie Clark, L Wren Scott, Gucci, Versace, Granny Takes a Trip, Mr Fish, Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci, Dior, to name a few. The images you project are really important. Musicians always like to talk that it s only about the music. It isn t, of course. It s about what you wear, what you look like, what your attitudes are all of these things. MICK
Backstage & Onstage Playing in over 45 countries, more people have seen The Rolling Stones perform live than any other band in the history of rock n roll! A recreation of the band s backstage environment then leads visitors into the show stopping never before seen 3D concert experience. There is a certain magnetic glue that pulls us all together, that overrides all other peripheral things. Once we get behind our instruments there s something bigger; the sum is greater than the parts. There s just a feeling that we were meant to do this, we have to do this and we re just following the trail. KEITH
