WRST sew the center front and the center back seas. 2. Sew the darts in the fronts and backs. 3. Sew two rows of "ease" stitches across the top of the seat. 4. WRST pin seat to upper body back and sew easing the sea to fit. 5. Fold the side casings in half lengthwise and stay stitch close to the edge sew the side casing in place between the dots on both the front and back but only on the right side. 6. WRST sew the side seas. Open body and finger press side casing one to front and one to back then sew very close to fold on both sides (this keeps the casing sooth on the body). Now insert the 116" ribbon into the casing starting at top of one side down out the across and up the other side. Leave several inches on both sides at top. When you stuff the body you will pull these to gather the side of the body. 7. Sew the ar band around the arhole opening. Press sea toward torso. Leave the top of the arholes open for inserting the binding of your choice. 8. WRST sew the crotchinsea. 9. nsert Roex or Arature into porcelain legs and stuff firly with polyfil. When close to the top hot glue arature or Roex keeping it centered. 10. When cooled insert the legs into the body one at a tie and bind cloth to the porcelain at the leg groove then apply a drop of glue to knot. 11. Turn the body right side out. Position the legs to side sit with the legs going toward the right. With the legs in this bent position bend the wire through the buttocks area and ex1end into the torso. Tape wire together in the torso. Strapping tape works well. 12. Stuff the legs lightly. Sew through each leg at the bend of the leg dart fro the hip to the crotch. 13. Put approxiately 3 cups of pellets into the seat. The polyfil needs to be soewhat fir yet easy to shape. 14. Pull the strings on the right side casing and tie to for the arch in the side. SEE DAGRAM. 15. Place the 12 gauge Roex in the ars and tape together so that there is 434" between the shoulder. nsert the Roex into the body and tape to the torso Roex. 16. nsert the ars into casings and secure tightly. 17. Continue stuffing the body firly. Close the top sea with a whip stitch. 18. Attach the shoulder plate with ethod of your choice fitting securely between shoulders. PAGE 1 OF4

GENERAL PANTNG TECHNQUE AS DONE BY DONNA RUBERT FY: After the initial ixing of Watersilks #2 with the dry paint only use water to thin y paint. The only other tie use Watersilks #2 is after washing y brush. dip y clean brush into Watersilks #2 then blot. This is ore to get the water out of y brush than it is to add ediu. When ixing two colors of paint always ix each color separately then pull a sall aount of one color into the other color; then ix copletely. Unless otherwise stated ix paints to the consistency of toothpaste. When refer to antiquing a piece that eans putting color in the creases or low points of the piece (i.e.: behind the knees in the bend of the ar between the fingers and toes etc.}. On a head antiquing would be done under the chin behind the ears in the ears around the nose in the space between the nose and the upper lip and in each nostril etc.. When blush put paint on the high points on the piece ( i. e. the knees the back of the hands the elbows the knuckles etc.} On the head blush the cheeks chin forehead and hairline etc.. Clean greenware as usual beveling the eyes to the proper sie. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 6. 1. Coat head sip ars legs and with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-shirt aterial until there is a soft sheen. 2. Mix the antiquing color with Watersilks #2. Paint the fingeails and toenails with the antique color then blot so just a hint of color is on the nail bed. Apply and sooth out the antique color in the creases of the sip ars and legs. Use a china op to even out the color. -Reinder- antiquing is always done in the low points of a piece. 3. Mix the eyelid color with Watersilks #2. Apply the eyelid color and even out USing a cosetic a-tip. Apply the lip crease color in the crease of the outh. With a square shader pull the color out just a little and ake several lip lines on the lips. This color is not done heavy. Apply the antiquing to the head. Use china op to even out color. FRE HEAD SP ARMS LEGS TO A TRUE CONE 018. 4. Coat entire head with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-shirt aterial until there is a soft sheen. 5. Mix eyelash color with Watersilks #1. Apply lower lashes that are short straight and close together. They should not be heavy. 6. Mix eyebrow color with Watersilks #1. Brush in Single hairs of brows. The eyebrows should look natural avoid long and heavy strokes. Children's brows should not be perfect. 7. Mix the lip color with Watersilks #2. Paint the lips aking sure you go to and follow the lip line. Soften the outer lip with a a-tip. Be sure there is no harsh line of paint left on the lip line. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 018. 8. Coat head sip ars and legs with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-shirt aterial to a soft sheen. 9. Mix nail color with Watersilks #2. Paint a nail tip and a "half oon" (half oon is at the base of each nail) on each finger and toenail. This should be done very light. You want just a hint of color to look natural. 10. Mix blush color with Watersilks #2. Using your forefinger apply the blush color to cheeks chin teple forehead hairline knuckles knees toes etc. Even out the color with a china op. -Reinder- When blushing always put paint on the high points. When you are satisfied with the color intensity FRE TO A TRUE CONE 018. 11. Coat head with Watersilks #2. Wipe back with T-shirt aterial. 12. With the eyebrow color take a a-tip and scrub the color on top of the fired on brows. Use a clean a-tip and soften the color until it appears like a light shadow under the brow hairs. With the eyelash color shade over the lower lashes the sae way; softening out the color at the lower edge away fro the eye opening. f there is a second color on the eyelid now is the tie to apply it. Be sure to stay away fro the eyebrow color you just applied. 13. Mix the lip accent color with Watersilks #2. Accent the fullest part of the center of the lower lip. Accent the fullest part of the upper lip (the ilk lip). DOing this akes a "hot spot" of color on the lips. 14. Mix the cheek accent color with Watersilks #2. Blush the top half of the already blushed cheek area with the cheek accent color. Applying this color akes a "hot spot" of color on the cheeks. FRE TO A TRUE CONE 018. 15. With the eyebrowleyelash color paint accent hairs on the brows and the lower lashes. Accent hairs are extra hairs to fill in or put on "top" of shading done in Step 12. 16. f the head has teeth (and you are painting the with china paint) ix teeth color with Watersilks #2 and paint the teeth. Be sure you don't get any of this color on the lips. 17. Check the color intensity on all of your pieces. f you need ore color anywhere now is the tie to intensify your colors. f you are copletely satisfied with your work FRE TO A TRUE CONE 018. 18. The final step is to apply a no-fire sealer on the lips and teeth. The sealer should be thinned with water to cut the gloss soewhat. Note: This sealer can be reoved with alcohol when it is copletely dry.
