My Story - Wardrobe with a difference!! Its party tonight and What should I wear tonight? thinks Sonia, her mind going through the number of dress stacked in her wardrobe. In the process of buying new dress/clothes, she has ended up stacking her small wardrobe to its full capacity. I will need to tell dad for an additional wardrobe for the keeping party wear and others separately, Sonia mutters. To keep the dress in good condition, wardrobe needs to be opened, cleaned and dresses to be rearranged. Otherwise wardrobes smell bad, and dress gets molded. How often has Sonia got upset when she opens the wardrobe and it stinks, more so the chosen party dress! How I wish, there is a sweet perfume smell in my wardrobe and my dress right in front glittering so that I just need to put it on and jump to party mode! wonders Sonia There must be some way and I need it very badly!. You are not alone dear! her mom says. It s the same for me too. Your Dad has just left for office, fuming that his new suit was stinking naphthalene. Last month he shoved a dozen of those balls in his pant and coat to ensure his dress will be fine for the next sales meeting with his boss. Mom!, just tell Dad he needs to look out for something to make our lives better and easier Sonia says as she gets ready for the party searching for an alternate party wear. Wonder if we can have a wardrobe that: Detects odour, gives a warning and instruction to open /clean / de-odorize wardrobe Tells me which of my dress is not worn for a long time Also tells me which has been worn lot of times and I can consider for giving it away. Is there something like an intelligent or smart wardrobe? wonders her Mom. It could make our life easier and simpler. Is such a solution possible and available? With a lot of mobile apps in the market is it possible or feasible to have such a solution, how much would it cost she wonders. 2

Notes My wardrobe is fitted with sensors that : does an air purification, blowing fresh air and sucking out bad odour at periodic intervals. It is programmed to execute four times in a day, with sleep time from 2200 hrs to early morning 0400 hrs. From an ideal air quality, the value obtained is converted as % of ideal, 100% means very ideal air quality & less than 80% bad The sensor transmits alert message of air purification done There is a sensor which is able to check the amount of free space available in cubicle. It then calculates from the fixed volume space available how much of volume dress occupy. The difference is shown as free space. Above 20% free space is termed Good. My search for innovation never ends. Planned innovations in next model - my super-intelligent wardrobe Tagging of dress with RFID or other solution. When has this dress been last worn or when did it go to laundry? Am I really using all the dress I have stacked up? Which are those not worn for a long time? Which one should go out of my wardrobe worn plenty of times, not suiting me, do not like colour, etc. ( How can I achieve this? ) odour sensor is my single point of failure equipment, need to supplement
