Chapter one The origin of the Universe In the cosmic darkness there was nothing and there was everything. In a porous agglomeration vital energies sparkled. It was the dawn of time. Chapter two From the waters A milky sea was the womb of life and from the waters something pure was born. Dalle Acque Un mare lattiginoso era utero della vita e dalle acque nasceva qualcosa di puro.
Chapter three The Body Fresh, smooth and delicate. For the first time I stroked my body. I exist, and not only in the ether. Il Corpo Fresco, liscio e delicato. Per la prima volta accarezzavo il mio corpo. Io esisto e non solo nell etere.
Chapter four The super structure I perceived a strong desire to possess. I needed to touch things to make them mine. I started to drink ambrosia to find myself drinking absinthe. La sovrastruttura Avvertivo un forte desiderio di possedere. Avevo bisogno di palpare le cose e farle mie. Cominciai a bere ambrosia e mi ritrovai a bere assenzio.
Chapter five The Fragmentation Time was passing and I was losing parts of me among centuries. It had been three thousand years. La frammentazione Il tempo scorreva e io perdevo parti di me tra i secoli. Erano passati tremila anni.
Chapter six Through nature A gift, an opportunity. The snow melted and the daisies blossomed. I hadn t seen them for over three thousand years. Attraverso la natura Un dono, un occasione. Si sciolse la neve e sbocciarono margherite. Non le vedevo da tremila anni.
Chapter seven Liberation from the mask A voice whispered in my ear words of honey. La liberazione dalla maschera Una voce sussurrò al mio orecchio parole di miele.
Chapter eight The redemption I found purity and it had new arms to create beauty. La redenzione. Ritrovai la purezza e aveva braccia nuove per creare bellezza.
Chapter nine The dream Someone dances on a tightrope and lead becomes gold. Il sogno Qualcuno funambolicamente danza e il piombo diventa oro.
Collection Art-y Scenes A personal collection of jewellery, featuring a wide variety of unique pieces. Chokers, brooches, rings, earrings, cuffs and anything that comes to Sheila s imagination. Driven by her sensitive, creative and independent mind, each piece originates from her moods and passions. Finding the balance she needs in her work, she combines her beautiful sculptural shapes with minerals or stones into organic wearable art pieces, connected by her love for working in wire in a very individual style. The name for Art-y Scenes derives from her love for art, but never taking herself too serious she just had to add the hyphen. This is the first shoot for her wearable art collection introducing her most free spirited work, a true expression of her soul. Feelings into wire. The Shoots, the Chapters Nine chapters and three different and particular models were needed to express the moods for this shoot, a symbiosis between creator Sheila and Giuseppe the photographer, who was the Art Director and a poet by nature. The unique chapters were especially created for Art-y Scenes, capturing the uniqueness and origin through photography and poems. The photographer Sheila has chosen to work with Giuseppe Bini because of his personality and the very special energy between both creators, something that is very important to her in marking the translation of her art. Giuseppe has always been interested in a world of images. Since he was a child, he was attracted into drawing and photography. Fascinated by literature and theatre, he loves linking portraits with a symbolic atmosphere. In which culture, fashion and beauty can make him transcend, like flowing in water. His favourite mantra is Find the light! In his own words photography is an acrobatic balance between the eyes and time. The poems play a big role and part of the vision of the beholder. Collaborating with jewellery artist Sheila Westera was a match made in heaven. In which he could explain her art, the brightness of the stones and the shine of gold into pictures and chapters with iconographic items that represent Sheila s world. He thinks that her beautiful work has a romantic, strong and prophetic soul and his photography puts a face to this value.
