Rome Police Department Monthly Report August 2018 Meetings/Training Attended

Rome Police Department Monthly Report August 2018 Meetings/Training Attended During the month of August I attended Town Board, and PFC meetings. I also met with Gunderson Moundview CEO, and attended a DOT Law Enforcement Luncheon. Officer Upton attended the Coordinated Community Response Team, and Crisis Response Community meetings. Officer Stashek attended a traffic safety meeting. Calls for Service, Citations, and Written Warnings In July officers handled 156 calls for service. Officers issued 87 citations and 30 written warnings. The Boat Patrol logged 58.5 hours of patrol and issued 10 citations, and conducted several boating compliance checks. Department Activities/Announcements August was another busy month in the police department we had another large drug arrest in Town, close to $ 40,000 in cash, marijuana, and other drug related items were recovered during a search of a residence. We participated in an Adams County Sheriff s Office Coffee With A Cop event held at the Adams Community Center. We donated several abandoned bicycles to Be Healthy Adams County initiative Bike Rodeo. Officers participated in stations at the rodeo, which was held at the Adams County Airport. Officers participated in the Adams County Family Night held at the Adams County Fairgrounds in August. The Department still has one officer off duty as a result of an on duty related injury. The officer is not expected to return to duty in the near future.
