The P.E. uniform is outlined in Appendix A. 6 THEME AND DRESS OF CHOICE DAYS On the last (school day) Friday of each month, students that have not lost the privilege are invited to participate in the Theme/Dress of Choice day. In the spirit of unity, each Dress of Choice day will include a Theme that is encouraged for that day. However, students may wear clothes of their choice as well. This is intended to be an optional, fun opportunity though uniform clothes are also always permitted. Students must still be neat, clean and modest. AVA staff determines if these expectations are met. Clothing items that should never be worn to school include: pajamas, sweatpants and immodest clothing (tops, skirts, shorts or pants). If this is not honored, students may be required to change before continuing with that day s learning. If a student has received two or more violations or three or more tardies in a month, they will lose the privilege of Dress of Choice day and will be required to wear their school uniform. The AVA Office will run a report the Wednesday before the Dress of Choice day, and homeroom teachers will notify those students who will not be permitted to participate in the Dress of Choice day. 7 UNIFORM VIOLATIONS Uniform violations may be subject to discipline at the discretion of AVA Administration in accordance to the Discipline Policy contained within the AVA Parent-Student Handbook. 7
