REACTIVITY DATA CHEMICAL STABILITY: Stable SUBSTANCE TO AVOID: Water and Basic chemicals, rapid polymerization (solidification)

HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: Not determined Note: NA = Not Available 6. TOXICOLOGICAL PROPERTIES TOXICITY SUMMARY: Specific toxicity tests have not been conducted on this product. This hazard evaluation is based on information from similar products, the ingredients, technical literature and / or professional experience. Cyanoacylate adhesives, while relatively low-toxicity, are mild irritants to the skin and are severe eye irritants and tissue binders. This adhesive gives an immediate, strong bond: apply only to surfaces to be bonded. Do not get adhesive on skin or other part of the body. Ethyl 2- cyanoacrylate at high concentrations may cause sensitization by inhalation and skin contact. ACUTE TOXICITY: EYE CONTACT: Severe eye irritant at high vapour levels causing tearing. Vapour irritation to the eyes will be most noticeable under conditions of low relative humidity. Adhesive is a tissue bonder. SKIN CONTACT: Mild irritant to the skin, Acute Dermal LD50 is >6.76 ml/kg. CAUTION: strong bonds will form between adjacent skin surfaces, such as the fingers. INHALATION:. At high concentrations ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate is severe irritant to upper respiratory tract with symptoms of coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache nausea and vomiting. INGESTION: Very low toxicity, Acute Oral LD50 is >5000 mg/kg. Caution: rapid hardening of the adhesive will take place in contact with surfaces of the mouth and lips. Vapour irritation to the mucous membranes will be most noticeable under conditions of low relative humidity CHRONIC TOXICITY: No reported carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, reproductive toxicity, mutagenicity, synergistic effects. 7. PREVENTIVE MEASURES PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

SKIN PROTECTION: Polyethylene gloves should be used to protect the hands. CAUTION: Do NOT use rubber or cloth gloves. Rubber gloves may bond when in contact with the adhesive and porous cotton gloves will adsorb the adhesive and bond the gloves to the skin. RESPIRATORS: Respiratory protection is not normally required unless product is used in enclosed area of poor ventilation or individual has a history of chronic respiratory disease. EYE PROTECTION: Goggles or safety glasses should always be worn. OTHER PROTECTION: Eye bath and coveralls ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide adequate ventilation in area of usage. When possible this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general ventilation. Vapours are heavier than air, therefore, downward ventilation should be used. WASTE DISPOSAL: Controlled waste incineration or secure landfill. HANDLING: Avoid use of excess adhesive. Excess adhesive outside of bond area will increase level of vapours. Assemble parts as quickly as possible. Long open times will increase levels of vapours. This product is not regulated for shipping puroposes. SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURE: Wipe off quickly with paper towel or cloth. STORAGE:. Store in cool (less than 5 C)and dry, dark area. 8. FIRST AID MEASURES EYE: In the event of eye contact, the eyes should be copiously flushed with water and medical aid sought immediately. If eyelids are bond closed, only a qualified physician should attempt to separate them. In case of bonding corneal surface, forced separation is NOT recommended. Allow eye to remain closed and the bond to separate naturally, which generally will occur witn a few days. SKIN: Bonded skin surfaces may be separated relatively easily by soaking the bonded area in warm, soapy water for a few minutes. With appropriate caution, solvents such as acetone or nail polish remover can be used effectively. If skin contact is over a large area, the area should be flushed with large amounts of water. A soaking wet cloth can be used to wipe off excessive adhesive. If the adhesive has soaked through the clothing, flush the area with water. If the cloth has bonded to the skin, the

removal of the bonded clothing without these precautions might result in skin damage. Cured adhesive will flake from the skin within a day or so or can be removed by treatment or by soaking with hot, soapy water. INGESTION: If adhesive comes in contact with the surfaces of the mouth, the mouth should be flushed copiously with water and medical aid sought immediately. Lips, if bonded, can be gently peeled apart, preferably with the aid of hot water. If ingested, induce vomitting and seek medical aid immediately. 9 MSDS PREPARATION DATE DATE: January, 2011 DISCLAIMER: The information contained herein is accurate to the best of our knowledge.
