The Rush You Get The feeling you get when you find the perfect gift, nail a new season trend, or curate those classic pieces that just makes your wardrobe sing that s #therushyouget and we re here to make it happen for you. One of our favourite bloggers is Erna from MERCER7. She is all about taking a less is more and day to night approach to everyday easy dressing, and has her own platform focusing on capsule wardrobe essentials and investment pieces that will last beyond the season. Tell us a bit about yourself. I m Armenian. Born in Georgia, full-time New Yorker turned Londoner so a bit of a mix! I met my Englishman in New York and after getting married, we moved over to the UK in 2010. I am now living in North London and I m a mother of two, Luca who is six and four-year-old Lily. Can you tell us a bit about your career path and how you became an influencer? My background is in fine arts, however when I was 15, I decided to go into fashion after moving to New York with my family. I graduated with a bachelor s degree in fashion design and worked as a designer for 14 years before taking a break to focus on motherhood. Since being involved in fashion, it was a natural progression into launching my own fashion platform and collaborating with brands by curating collections. Who is MERCER7 for? I wanted to create a focused space with a single aesthetic all in one place, to make shopping easier for busy women and for those who want to invest in timeless design over fast fashion. Everything in MERCER7 EDIT works well together creating the ultimate capsule wardrobe. What are your style staples? Definitely a menswear-inspired doublebreasted blazer, a pair of leather trousers, a bit of cashmere and I also love to wear oversized shirts. A trench coat or a biker is also a must (depending on the weather) and of course a great pair shoes to make any simple outfit more interesting. What s your AW18 top tip? Invest in your outerwear! That s what people see you in most of the time during colder months, so having a great coat is essential.
