UNIFORM INFORMATION
The McDonald College prides itself on being one of the most prestigious performing arts schools in the country and it is important that our students of all ages understand that it is part of their discipline to come dressed and groomed appropriately for class. All students taking a Classical Ballet class with us must come with their hair in a ballet bun, and boys must look presentable. Below is a list of our Uniform requirements for specific levels. PRE SCHOOL BALLET Our youngest ballerinas are welcome to wear any colour and style of leotard they like. Our only requirement is that our Pre Schoolers wear ballet tights and little ballet shoes to each class so they can move as freely as they like. Any leotard/tutu they can move freely in Ballet shoes any fabric/style Ballet stockings any colour Hair in a ballet bun

POINTE SHOES Once your teacher feels you are ready to go en pointe, you will be required to have a pre-pointe assessment at a physiotherapist to deemed in good physical condition to going en pointe. Once your pre-pointe assessment has been approved, we recommend you purchase your first pair of pointe shoes from Bloch to ensure you are fitted correctly.
OPEN CLASSES Students who participate in an Open Class are welcome to wear any colour and style of leotard they like. Hair must be in a ballet bun.

ALL OTHER CLASSES Students participating in other classes are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing with breathable fabric, however, there are no set uniform requirements. Room temperatures vary from studio to studio so it is recommended that all students bring a jumper to class during the colder months. Merchandise items such as water bottles, hoodies and t-shirts are available to purchase from the After Hours reception area.
