About us Chale is the first watch brand dedicated to African culture. Our vision was to create something that represented Africa`s colorful cultures and Scandinavian minimalism, and to build bridges between cultures. We named our watches Chale because of the direct link to Africa and the broad use of the word. Chale is a very popular Ghanian colloquial expression used in multiple senses. Look it up in the Urban dictionary to feed your curiosity! JULY We have a long way to go, but in the future we wish to be able to contribute to the development of the great and unique continent of Africa and join its entreprenaurial growth initiative to create more jobs for its people. The symbol we use on our watches are borrowed from the West African "Adinkra" symbol range. This particular symbol is called "Gye Nyame" and means "supremacy of God".
