We have very high standards and expectations when it comes to uniform and personal organisation so please ensure that you start well by dressing correctly and arriving with the correct equipment. Other required items: To be purchased via high street retailers Knee length black socks or plain black opaque tights (Patterned or coloured tights are NOT acceptable. Girls may wear plain short white socks from April - July) Black shoes - plain, matt and polished suitable for business wear (Plain polished, black and flat. No exceptions, i.e. no ankle boots, shiny shoes, trainers, converse or canvas etc. Kickers are acceptable). Shoes MUST cover the whole foot for safety reasons. White shirt (long or short sleeves) can be purchased from retailers on the high street or available online via Price and Buckland. Optional Extras: Holdall - 14 Plain Black V Neck or Sleeveless Jumpers (knitted not sweatshirt) Remember these uniform rules: Blazers must be worn at all times around the academy however Teachers may give permission to take them off in the classroom when a student asks. Students may take their blazers off outside on the patio Blazer sleeves must be down at all times no students should have their blazers sleeve pushed or rolled up. Shirts must be worn tucked in, with all the buttons done up at all times. Any missing buttons or tears in clothing can be sewn up by requesting a needle and thread from the Central Office. Please help your child develop these useful skills. Ties must always be on with a Petchey knot and the length should be to the student s waistband. Skirts must be worn to the knee and not rolled up.
Standard Petchey P.E. Kit Compulsory Kit: As with uniform, P.E kit to be purchased online via www.pbuniformonline.com/petchey Black P.E. Polo - 11.50 Black Unisex Shorts - 7 Students MUST have a gum shield, shin pads and long plain black socks. These can be purchased from any high street retailer Gum shield Shin pads Water bottle Plain black trainers with non-marking soles. We recommend that all students have plain black moulded rubber football/ rugby boots for the 3G pitch - plastic is also acceptable but NO metal studs are allowed. Trainers can be worn on the pitch; however, this does increase the risk of sliding. Please remember to put a name label on EVERYTHING! Recommended P.E. Sanctions for inappropriate uniform If you do not have your PE kit you will receive a PALS. Parents may be asked to purchase new PE kit online if you forget your kit on successive occasions. Students will be sent home if their uniform or personal presentation fails to comply with our uniform policy. Examples include: Inappropriate shoes Coloured socks Inappropriate hairstyle (e.g. hair dye, any shaved markings - including eyebrows - or under cuts)
Presentation No-Nos: Hairstyle, eyebrow and make up guidelines Hair should be all one length - no undercuts or high tops Hair should be a natural colour and hairbands/clips must be black. One gold or silver stud in each lobe. Eyebrows should have no shavings, markings or highlighting. No false eylashes. No false nails or nail varnish - even natural colours Rule violations will lead to removal from lessons until the situation is resolved. Students may be sent home if it cannot be achieved internally.
