It is essential that we maintain these high standards within the school and this starts with their school uniform. Attached to this letter is very clear guidance on our uniform, including how it should be worn and examples of acceptable school uniform. We have also given examples of outlets where the uniform can be purchased (including the details for our official uniform supplier) and some detailed guidance on acceptable footwear. In closing, I would like to emphasise how proud we are of our student body, they are an exceptional group of students. A white tailored shirt which can be tucked into your waistband with a top button you can fasten. School Tie (Royal blue striped tie). Black school blazer with a school logo on it. Black V-neck jumper (optional) to wear under your blazer. Plain tailored trousers with black socks (boys and girls). Tailored means not tight fitting or figure hugging and not made from stretchy fabrics. No leggings, jeans or tracksuit bottoms. Plain knee length pleated or A-Line style skirt (girls). Knee length means the skirt should be touching the crease of the back of the knee and the knee cap at the front. The skirt should not be tight fitting or made from stretchy fabrics. If wearing a skirt, socks or tights must be worn (not both together). Socks must be plain, not patterned and either black, white or grey. Tights must be plain, black and opaque. Plain black, below the ankle leather or leather look (not patent or suede) flat shoes. No sandals, trainers, logos or branding. Sturdy bag. Outdoor coat for cold/wet weather. No cardigans, body warmers or non-uniform jumpers including sweatshirts or hoodies. PE Kit School PE shirt (dark blue with light blue trim and the school logo. Plain black jogging bottoms or shorts. Trainers Appearance Single ear studs are permitted but must be removed for PE. No other piercings allowed. No excessive make-up. No nail varnish. Skirts Here are some examples of styles of skirts which are acceptable Both of the above styles are available from Asda priced from 3.50, skirts similar to these styles purchased from other establishments are permitted. You must ensure that skirts purchased are knee length. Trousers Tailored trousers as shown below for both boys and girls are available from suppliers such as Asda and Tesco from 5. Trousers must be tailored and must not be tight fitting (for example leggings or skinny jeans).
