When I was a little girl, I would watch my mom beautify herself daily, paying close attention to the colours she used, application methods, right down to the face expressions she would make. You know what I m talking about the endless expressions we make as if our face is going through a yoga session just to add the right amount of product in the right place. She was my icon, still is, with her makeup table and multiple bags of products and beauty tools. I used to have so much fun! So naturally, I would play makeup artist on myself and friends and rocked some pretty interesting looks, to say the least. Not because I expected a young girl to know how to apply makeup perfectly, but because I didn t know the basics of choosing the right products and shades. I was in monkey see, monkey do mode. But I was captivated by the art of it all. I loved seeing the transformation and how radiant my mom looked and felt. As I got older, and developed even more of a passion for hair and makeup, it became even more important to me to learn beyond my mother s makeup table and take courses with professionals to become a master of my craft. What I learned throughout my entire career as a hair and makeup artist and beauty professional, is that you have to love the YOU that you are first. We created our brand because we noticed many of our female clients had the same beauty questions and concerns like, What products are you using and why? and What is the best way to apply makeup? So we started a blog and created a series of seminars that target the common concerns of makeup. What we discovered was makeup can be simplified and with the right product and simple techniques, any woman can look and feel beautiful. The heart of our business is empowering women to be confident.
