Welcome to Royals Hair Academy I m particularly excited to release our 2019 education offering because it is without a doubt our best and most comprehensive offering so far. We believe we re in tune with the hairdressing industry and as always take feedback from both salon owners and stylists when developing our program. Our focus continues to be to provide real education without fluff. Education that actually delivers results on the salon floor and as quickly as possible! For salon owners that means bridging gaps in skills and getting mid level apprentices on the floor quicker and with more confidence. For stylists we re focused on perfecting and mastering skills and creating superstar A players who stand out. Our Scissor Master workshops are great examples of our approach with this and these workshops are more akin to hair cutting boot camps designed to give stylists confidence tackling all haircuts with ease and confidence. Education Team Mary Alamine Mary Alamine s work is renowned around the globe for it s originality and her unique approach to her craft has turned her into one of Australia s most in-demand stylists. The Founder and Co Owner of Royals Hair leads the education team and delivers our signature C.P.R. workshop. His high level of knowledge, easy-to-understand and approachable teaching style make him a very popular educator. As a colour and balayage expert, Travis has something to share regardless of your level. WINNER 2018 AHIA HOT SHOTS FASHIONISTA FINALIST 2018 HAIR EXPO CREATIVE COLOURIST OF THE YEAR Samuel Bennett Sam s passion is cutting and his love is educating so it was only natural that the two would be combined. After working in some of New Zealand s best hair salons Samuel moved to Sydney where he joined the team at Royals. A regular backstage at Fashion Week and on shoots, his skills have made him one of Sydney s most popular hair cutters. Emma Cooper With clients travelling interstate to see Emma and with her high level of attention to detail it was only natural that we d invite her to join the education team. Emma s knowledge, passion and commitment has seen her develop an obsessively loyal client following. In 2019, Emma will be teaching you how to apply tape extensions and create a solid tape extension client base.

The Workshops 2019 GET ME CUTTING ON THE FLOOR Designed for apprentices about to hit the salon floor, this hands on bootcamp style cutting workshop will boost confidence and provide the foundation for a great haircutter. SCISSOR MASTER ONE Bring your scissors and embark on this workshop designed to perfect your cutting skills and get you wielding your scissors like a true master. For experienced cutters wanting to take their cutting to the next level. SCISSOR MASTER TWO The second and final workshop in our scissor master series will challenge you and push you to step outside your comfort zone. Confront your fears as you tackle pixie haircuts, precise bobs and complex haircuts. MASTER OF THE FADE Weild your clippers like a pro and master the art of fading and men s cutting. The Workshops 2019 COLOUR FUNDAMENTALS Knowledge is power. Designed for new colourists or apprentices or even senior stylists who need a refresher on their colour knowledge. This workshop focuses on colour knowledge, theory and consultations ensuring you have the know how to take on any colour work. BALAYAGE WIZ (& FREE HAND PAINTING) It s 2019 and balayage is still going strong. Learn several techniques to create the perfect on-trend balayage. Create the perfect sun-kissed balayage look with this hands on workshop. COLOUR CORRECTION 101 Learn how to master colour corrections and remove the fear from tackling difficult colour work. You ll be taught simple and effective methods to ensure you have the skills to perfect the art of colour correction. You ll gain skills you can take back to the salon as you commence your journey to being a master colourist. BRING ON THE FORMALS This is the perfect workshop to prepare you for the formal season. The Workshops 2019 WAVES, WAVES & MORE WAVES Learn to create and finish hair like a Master Stylist. In this hands on workshop you ll learn several techniques to style hair with different tools. This workshop is perfect for someone who needs to step up their styling game and get those perfect instaworthy hair pics. TAPE EXTENSIONS This hands on workshop will teach you how to apply and cut tape hair extensions to blend in to natural hair. Using Hollywood Hair Extensions simple tape method you ll learn everything there is to know about tape extensions and will apply a full head on a live model.. BRAID MASTER Braiding is a trend that s here to stay.
