959 by Paolo Ferrari: Repurposed & Recycled Paolo Ferrari is 34 and a graduate in Industrial Design from the Politecnico in Milan. His professional development has been through various different design studios. In 2007 he began his own business developing new projects. 959 is his latest creation, the number representing the year 1959 when seatbelts started to be installed in Volvo cars, and his new concept was launched in February 2009 using recycled seatbelts and transforming them into a collection of really smart bags made entirely out of materials recovered from the scrap yard.
