www.crispins.co.uk International evening Wednesday 17th June 2015 @crispinsschool St. Crispin s School
The International Group St. Crispin s recognises that with over 51 nationalities in it s community it is beneficial to have an International Support Group of parents who are able to translate for new EAL parents when required. The group has grown not just in numbers since starting in 2010, but also in it s involvement within the school. It not only organises the International Evening, open to the whole school community, but it is also active within the classroom, providing information about different countries and cultures. The International Evening International Culture Evening is to celebrate the diversity of our school community. The event will take place in the school hall on Wednesday 17 th June, 6:30pm prompt (approximate end time 8:00pm). Ticket holders are welcome to join us from 6:30pm. Food tastings from international countries will be served as an informal buffet between 6:30 8:00pm and during this time you are welcome to visit dancers and musicians and to chat to stall holders about their home countries. This booklet The International Group sadly lost one of their active members, Serena Macedru, last year and in her memory we would like to raise money for the Duchess of Kent Hospice, Reading where she was cared for. All the prizes in this booklet have been kindly donated by international parents and their friends and we invite you to place silent bids on the items enclosed. Please return your bids to Val Gent (Family Support Worker) via the school office or email gentv@crispins.co.uk detailing the prize number, your bid and contact details. On the night of the International Evening, the highest bid to date will be on display and you will have the opportunity to bid again if you wish.
