Meetings/Training Attended Rome Police Department Monthly Report November 2018 During the month of November, I attended Town Board and PFC meetings. Officer Stashek attended the Adams County Traffic Highway Safety Meeting. Calls for Service, Citations, and Written Warnings Officers handled 106 calls for service, issued 21 citations and 20 written warnings. Department Activities/Announcements Officer Kirsenlohr submitted his resignation letter his last day of work will be December 9, 2018. He is staying on the part time roster, and has said he would like to work on the boat patrol. Sergeant Wilson also submitted a letter of resignation for Patrol Sergeant, requesting to go back to the Patrol Officer position, due to family issues and scheduling of the Sergeant position. I will be working with the Police and Fire Commission, and Administrator to determine a course of action to address the open positions. I would remind residents to be aware of changing ice conditions on the area lakes before traveling out on the ice. In the past we have had vehicles go through the ice on the lakes and especially the channel between upper and lower Lake Camelot. If you are leaving town over the winter months please stop by the police department or go to our web site and complete a vacant home form. Routine maintenance was done to the fleet in November. Jason Lauby Chief of Police
